Things to do on site and in the Newport area
The local beaches, which are plentiful, start about 10 minutes' drive away. Newport Sands, a dune backed sandy beach which is plenty big enough for all your beach activities. At low tide, you can wade across the river to Newport Parrog and enjoy a refreshing drink at the Boat Club.
Coedfryn Farm is a haven for cyclists with a wide range of stunning and interesting cycle routes nearby. There are routes that hug the Pembrokeshire coastline revealing wide-open expanses of beach and towering cliffs at every turn. Turn inland for wild landscapes and remote enchanted hamlets with traditions stemming back generations.
The Pembrokeshire coast is thought by many to be the best in the country for walkers - miles of coastline, dramatic scenery, natural wonders to explore, and plenty of stops along the way. As you head away from the coast, a patchwork of footpaths and bridleway unfold across Pembrokeshire, leading you through the Preseli Hills, ancient woodlands and down into quiet valleys.
A little way to the East is Ceibwr Bay, home to the Witches' Cauldron (Pwll-y-wrach), a collapsed sea cave. The area is rich in wildlife with the cliffs providing a home to various seabirds while the waters here are a good place to spot otters, seals and dolphins.
