North Lodge Eco Holidays offers traditional camping together with completely unique glamping, set on a smallholding overlooking the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Preseli Hills. There are 4.5 acres for you to enjoy, including a wooded walk, picnics under the trees, and a central fire pit. The site is ethically run and offers private pitches with lots of wild long grass areas, flowering meadows and hedges.
About North Lodge Eco Holidays
With both traditional back-to-basics camping and completely unique and alternative places to stay, North Lodge is a fantastic base from which to discover beautiful North Pembrokeshire. The welcoming and laid back site has a mixture of short grass camping and wild areas which attract lots of birds, bats, and other wildlife. A resident owl is regularly spotted to the delight of visitors. One electric hook-up is available at the top of the site, where campervans can pitch (there are no vehicles on the main camping field). The private pitches are delightfully secluded, though there is also a central campfire if you're feeling sociable. The site's two off grid cabins are both unique and sleep up to four (with a fifth on a camping mattress at a push). Preseli Cabin has a four poster bed (lovingly built by a local carpenter), wood burning stove, solar lighting, posh dual chambered compost loo next door, and a kitchen shed. The porch, ideal to sit on, is a sunny spot giving shade and shelter so that it's comfortable whatever the weather. Set in the old orchard, Damson Cabin, candle lit, has a vintage bed, upcycled oak dining table and unusual handcrafted coffee table set. The cabin has its own toilet (with solar light) kitchen shed and undercover BBQ area - and each year a family of sparrows nest in the eaves of the porch. Both cabins also have a fire pit. The latest addition to the site is Rumenco, a romantic, quirky and truly unique glamping option. The converted horse lorry for two was refurbished and restored over 18 months, with as many original features kept as were possible. There are kitchen and dining areas, plus a bedroom at the back and a toilet at the front. The old back door is now a viewing platform with a conservatory door offering views from the comfy bed. Close to Cardigan Bay's dolphin trips, the hills and coastal paths, you'll find plenty to do here. Or just relax by the fire and stargaze. With such little light pollution, the stars here are amazing. Dog friendly. A torch and wellies are recommended!
