If you are looking to get away from the humdrum of everyday life, then you've come to the right place! Despite easy access to the coastal resorts in Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire, Cwrt Hen is well off the beaten track. Site rules and policies
We try to keep all rules to a minimum, but for the sake of all campers with us, we do have a few ground rules:
We expect campers to respect the quietness and tranquillity of this hideaway site.
All dogs (and indeed any other pets) are welcome but we do have a strict poop policy.
Fires and BBQs are allowed but they must be raised off the grass. We do provide fire baskets on request.
Recycling is a priority but NO glass can be left with us. There are many local bottle banks.
Things to do on site and in the Newcastle Emlyn area
On site, you can enjoy relaxing in the extreme peace and quiet, take a stroll to see what's happening on the lake, or visit the resident horses in their paddocks.
Cwrt Hen is ideally situated just 4 miles inland from Aberporth, one of the many delightful coastal spots in Cardigan Bay where dolphins are often spotted. Aberporth boasts two sandy beaches (one of which is dog-friendly all year round), cafes, a couple of pubs, chemist and grocery store.
The stunning beaches and coves along the Cardigan coast include (dog-owners paradise) Poppit Sands, Mwnt, Tresaith, Penbryn, Llangrannog and New Quay. The coastline is dotted with villages, little harbours and fishing ports, so is popular with beach-goers, walkers, anglers and all those who enjoy the outdoor life that the coast has to offer.
Local attractions include the castles of Cardigan and Cilgerran, The Welsh Wildlife Centre, The Newquay Honey Farm, and boat trips from Cardigan and New Quay.
There are numerous activities to practice in the area, including cycling, fishing, horse riding, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, bodyboarding and many more.
The small quirky town of Newcastle Emlyn with its shops, riverside walk and cafes is also very popular with visitors. The famous and award-winning Caws Cenarth Cheese is nearby too.
A trip to the scenic Cenarth Falls with its famous Coracle Centre is also a must.
