The city of Newcastle is also just 20 minutes away by car, and there's a bus service at the end of the road if you prefer public transport. The Metro Centre is only 10 minutes away and also accessible by bus. Berwick-upon-Tweed is an hour's drive, while Alnwick is 40 minutes away.
Horse owners will find plenty of scenic rides in the Derwent Valley. Stabling is available for your horse (the site does not have horses to use).
