This was our first experience of camping as a family and we had the best time. The campsite was welcoming and we loved that could pitch up anywhere. It was really well suited for our boys (1&3) and we loved being able to have a fire. The showers and compost loos were a great addition and felt very clean. Thanks for a great trip - we will definitely be back!

Great site out of the way for the wild camping feeling. Shop near by too.

We loved our stay at Hook Farm Campsite. There aren't any pitches so you have complete freedom to find a spot that suits you. Some of the fields are quite hilly so make sure to take some time finding the perfect spot. The people were really helpful and friendly and the other campers were respectful of the rules and of others. The showers are newly installed, really spacious and a great temperature. We loved that you are allowed to light your own fires as well! The local village is gorgeous with 2 great pubs, I highly recommend The Fox but it is a slightly longer walk from the campsite. We will definitely return!

Back to basic campsite. We had a great time there and a fantastic pitch under an oak tree. You will need levellers as it is a bit of a sloping site. Owners were great. Compost toilets were different and being able to have camp fires was great. Location was great. 10 minute walk to two great pubs. Worth the visit.

Perfect little campsite. Basic and cost effective but has everything you need. Brewery not far away for nice beers on tap.

Exactly what we were looking for, plenty of space to pitch and our own place to make a fire. Welcomed when we arrived and was all very easy!

This is an amazing back to basics camping experience. Huge pitches, with so many different ones to choose from over a large amount of space. The ability to have camp fires really makes the experience. In a beautiful setting, with a pub ten minutes walk away, another one five minutes after that, and a brewery and tap room another 15 minute walk away. Also very interesting to look around The Priest House, a 15th Century traditional country house in the neighbouring village. Plenty of water points and compost toilets/portaloos. The showers did run cold the day we were there, which was a shame. Run by very friendly people, one of whom came to check on everyone in the morning after a storm. Would return and do recommend.

Nice and quiet, really easy to find, local pubs are only a short walk away. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Very basic toilets and outdoor showers but they're maintained to a good standard. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Very friendly welcome upon arrival. Large site in 2 or 3 fields and choice to pitch wherever takes your fancy, although most are on a slight incline. All grass pitches. Showers (4) were hot and clean, I didn't use the compost loos personally. Quiet countryside location with a 10 min walk approx. to the village/pub. Great for dog owners.
Amazing campsite, breathtaking views!

One of the most beautiful views I've seen at a campsite - high up overlooking a canopy of trees. Lots of space to choose from for your pitch. Very friendly. Lots of fire pits are located across the campsite for use. Highly recommend camping here. The toilets could have been a little better; there isn't a toilet block as you get at some campsites, only portaloos and compost loos. We managed fine though.

Booked this on a whim because we live locally and just fancied a night in our tentbox somewhere wild. Check-in process was really simple, you have free reign on where to set up. We found an amazing corner of a field with a campfire set up and a big log and bench to sit on. Had so much space to ourselves and had a fantastic evening camped next to the woods. Will definitely be back!

Lovely campsite, basic facilities as described on website, but didn't need anything else. New shower block was a nice surprise, with plenty of hot water! Easy walking distance to village and local brewery, plus access to High Weald landscape hiking trail, which was great.

Great campsite that returned my memories of "wild" camping. Really nice fields on the hill and a tiny forest in the middle. The campsite also has showers.

The field is in a great location, with lovely walks and minutes away from two local pubs. There is ample space and some spots have a view all the way to the South Downs over all of Sussex - the service and staff are very friendly too :)

Real camping - real fields, clean compostable toilets and fires. Just enough facilities for a weekend away. The staff were really friendly. Two pubs in walking distance. A bit of air traffic noise, but nothing overnight. Will definitely return next summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Hook Farm Campsite. We wanted quite a rural and basic setting for our family weekend away, and Hook Farm was the perfect place to experience the simple joys of camping. The facilities (compost loos, water taps and some new showers which were being tested out) were great - in fact, better than expected with the addition of the showers. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to eat and drink within a short drive, and a couple of pubs in walking distance. Highly recommended!

Lovely campsite! Very welcoming on arrival and helpful. Plenty of space so you don't feel on top of other people. Toilets are clean and checked regularly. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!
