Dropped some points on the 'value for money'. Stay price reasonable but £18 for a pit and wood was too pricey in my opinion. Busy campsite, not much personal room but it was available at short notice. Was nice weather, so maybe its not usually as busy. Staff friendly. Short 15 min drive to Seven Sisters country car park.

Absolutely loved our weekend here, lovely surroundings and wide open spaces. Showers and loos cleaned regularly and on-site pizza a plus. Had great weather which always helps but would definitely come back with the kids.
Really relaxed stay

Very relaxed space, large open flat field. Friendly staff and the pizza was yummy if you don't fancy cooking. Mixture of people from campervans, families in large tents and quite a few hikers in small tents. Location is great for walking and dogs are welcome. Rules are relaxed, relying on camper's etiquette which seemed to work. It was good weather, so the 2 sink washing up station not being under cover wasn't a problem, but could be a future improvement. Shower and toilet blocks were okay, shipping containers so quite restricted on space, well used and tired now, a re-fit is due. They got messy quickly without any brooms to wipe floors. Nice hot water which is super important!
Quiet and out of the way, breathtaking views

Stayed for one night with my girlfriend. Friendly staff and good facilities. Amazing value for money. Some guests were a little noisy past 10pm but not too bad. On site food van a real plus offering good value food, breakfast and dinner. Clean, hot water showers. Great for local walks too onto the downs

Really enjoyed my stay. The location is ideal for enough away from any main roads, but you still get the slight noise but nothing that keeps you awake. I love the simplicity of this campsite, no frills but clean facilities, showers didn't look overly glamorous, however, they were really hot and clean! One thing I would remark on was that it was quite a busy weekend and they only had two sinks for washing up. Feel they could do with another couple of sinks. The food vendor is on site were amazing. I had a bacon roll in the morning and a pizza in the evening. Both were delicious! Will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely stay and my husband and daughter took advantage of the on site catering a lovely flat field. The site is a good base to discover surrounding areas and Eastbourne.
Love it there

Beautiful location on the edge of the South Downs. Quiet peaceful campsite. Cheap and cheerful. Owner was very nice and helpful. Downside, Toilets were all full the morning of my last day. Bit of a shame that people can't respect facilities! Showers are fair. At the end of the day, it's £12.50 a night, so you get what you pay for. I will camp there again.

Nice site. My only gripe would be people with loose dogs everywhere. We have a dog ourselves but continued to have dogs come over, one of which cocked his leg up our awning. Apart from that, a lovely, friendly site.

Great site, easy to find and very relaxed. Easy and quick check-in. Big field with lots of space. Close to some good pubs for food and friendly team on-site. The toilets were working and fairly clean but at £35 for 3 of us, we left very happy! Firepits to rent and logs for sale too.

This was a nice place to stay for a night with lovely scenic walks and a railway station nearby. Very friendly welcome, staff with great local knowledge and a small shop with nice ice creams and essentials. Only downside was the toilet and shower blocks, which were really dirty and needed a lot of attention in terms of cleaning.

Toilets and bathrooms could be in better conditions. Shower curtains are not needed. There could be more washing stations (people queued). And firepits could be cheaper.

We are a non-driving family and we picked this site as it was easy for us to get to without a car. The site office was closed when we arrived on Thursday, but I was sent a text to let me know, with a contact number if I needed anything. Fridays and Saturdays they sell hot pizzas and refreshments and in the morning they sell breakfast baps and tea and coffee. We had pizzas on Friday night which were hot, delicious and speedily made. The facilities were cleaned every morning. Due to its location, we had a convenience store about 4mins away along with a café, which we frequented. We took a bus from there to visit Eastbourne for the day, which was just a half hour ride. Just outside the gates of the site, there's a lovely woodland path, which was great for us and our dog to have a beautiful nature walk. I couldn't recommend this site enough for location. We will definitely visit again.

Quiet field on the edge of the Southdowns. Port-a-cabin type showers/toilets, plenty of them and clean. Very reasonable price if it's just a couple of you. Park up where you like, plenty of space.
Perfect 1 night camping.

Perfect 1 night camping, close to lots of lovely coastline along the South Downs way. Easily found a secluded spot on the camp grounds and were able to rent a fire pit. Good facilities, everything you need - as you expect camping, toilets a little dirty but fine. We enjoyed our stay :)
