About Fontmills Farm Campsite

This welcoming camping and glamping site is set on a 140-acre family farm in the low Weald of East Sussex. Head here for sweeping country views, sheep in the paddocks next door and fantastic walking trails nearby, including the Cuckoo Trail. Suitable for tents and small campervans, there are 42 pitches available on the camping field, each with plenty of space to enjoy a restful break. All pitches are first come, first serve. It wouldn't be camping without a campfire, either! The site has fire pits to borrow, and log bundles are available onsite to keep the fire burning. For glamping, experience a relaxed rural escape in one of the fully furnished bell tents or shepherd's huts. Except for a good book, all you need to bring is yourselves! Sleeping up to two adults and three children, there are three beautiful bell tents - Lovelily, Ruby and Zephyr. All are fully furnished with a king-size bed and a few other home luxuries, including a kitchen box with essentials (plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, pots and pans etc.) and a picnic table outside. Wendy and Winnie, the shepherd's huts, also provide the perfect country retreat. Sleeping up to two people, each is well equipped with all the essentials and offers stunning uninterrupted countryside views. The two shepherd's huts also share a fully equipped, covered, all-weather kitchen cabin, including a gas hob and fire pit. Sorry, no dogs are allowed.

Fontmills Farm Campsite is open from 03/05 to 14/09.

A note from the site themselves...

Our family friendly site is based on a 140 acre family farm. The site is run by myself and my husband and we have been lucky enough to live here since the 1990's with our two daughters, Lily and Ruby.

Every April, you will also see Blue Texel ewes that lamb, along with our lovely border collie sheepdog, Floss. We also have horses, Harry, Maisie and Ricco, and our lovely cats - Ethel and Ernie.

Though we might be biased, we can't get enough of rural life. We like to think our little site provides a haven for our campers and hope to welcome you soon, Nicola

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

Very friendly owners on hand to help and offer suggestions for local places to visit. 3 camping fields and a huge wildflower meadow to wander through. Fire pits to hire and limited light pollution - a very relaxing site! I would definitely recommend.

Loved every minute!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

I cannot recommend Fontmills enough, we had such a lovely weekend and I want to book to come again! Steve and Nicola are delightful hosts, and want to make your stay as great as possible. Our highlights were giving Wotsit the goat a good scratch and enjoying the stunning wildflower meadow just next to the campsite, and we had plenty of space to play lawn games. The facilities are great, always very clean and had everything you need and more. Can't wait to come back!
