Red Squirrel Campsite is perfect for families, adventure seekers and hikers. Wild open pitches allow you to have the freedom to pick and choose your pitch. There is a pub just a 15 minute walk from the site. Either a short drive, or woodland walk into the village are a few more restaurants and a local shop.

Lovely location, spoilt a bit by noisy groups

Beautiful location, with great access to numerous hill walks and a nice pub nearby. Site has basic facilities, but all you need for a camping weekend. The dish washing area had no hot water, but the showers/toilets always did. They have a "quiet from 9pm, silence from 11pm" policy, but unfortunately it was not implemented. Both nights we were kept awake by groups playing loud music and singing/shouting, which was extremely frustrating. The first night this went on until 11:45pm, with our children also kept awake.

Thank you for your review. Upon your arrival, you would have been given a card with a night duty number on it. We always tell our guests that this number is exactly for the reason you have commented about. We expect our staff to do their nightly walks, and if that hasn't happened, I'll investigate. We also expect our guests to follow our rules, It's a real shame that you didn't have a good experience because our site is very family oriented.
Beautiful location, convenient facilities

We will be back as soon as possible. The people are friendly, the facilities are great- clean toilets, showers, dishwashing, food truck at the weekend. The location is beautiful with walks and hikes of all difficulties very nearby. For necessities, Glencoe is a short drive, an easy walk to a local shop and for petrol.

We loved our stay at Red Squirrel. Camping under snow capped mountains with the calming sounds of a shallow river running by the pitch and the smell of campfires, this place is idyllic. Warm showers and clean facilities with laundry available. We arrived late on a Friday when most of the pitches had been taken for the weekend, so the earlier you can turn up, the better your odds at bagging a great, private spot. Close to fantastic walks - Lost Valley is a must. With a cosy, atmospheric pub at the entrance, this campsite is well placed for a well-earned post-hike beer or two!

Great campsite, in the heart of the hills, amazing location and a bonus of being able to have a small fire at your pitch. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we will be back.
