Beautiful quiet site in a lovely setting. As mentioned by many others, the only grumble with this site is that there is a single shower for the whole campsite. You find yourself either queuing for ages (there is no seat so you are stood waiting) or setting an alarm for really early morning to try to get a shower before starting the day. The shower are locked at 9pm so you can't have a shower at night to ease the pressure and reduce the numbers trying to use in the morning. Have to reiterate, beautiful site and loved the honesty shop, but the lack of access to showers makes the stay more difficult than it needs to be.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our site. I'm delighted to say that we have our eco shower area in the camping field up and running now to provide an alternative shower option for our guests which is available 24hrs and proving to be very popular. We provide a number of alternatives to the main shower feature to include solar bags, down to a bucket and sponge. The shower hut can also be utilised by guests who bring their own portable shower with them. Our aim is to build a further 2 shower huts and we will continue to look at options on how this area can be developed further.

What a lovely campsite. Beautiful location with very clean facilities. Very accommodating by supplying a small shop on site to get all your essentials like milk and tea bags. Even sausages and bacon for breakfast :). We had a lovely 3 nights at the campsite and the hosts are really lovely people 😊 Thank you so much, I'm sure we'll be back!

Such a beautiful campsite and so peaceful. The pitches are spacious, and there have been trees planted, which will soon offer even more privacy for each pitch. The maintenance of the site is immaculate, and the hosts are attentive and friendly. If you are looking for a peaceful break, away from it all- this is the place 👌

Thank you for taking the time to review our campsite. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. The trees are quite an exciting venture for us, thinking about how they will develop and how the site will look over the next few years...I spend all my time looking down the tubes now to see how well they're all doing!

Had a lovely stay here over Easter weekend 2023. Perfect location for exploring the coast around Amble, Alnwick etc. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Well stocked little shop. Camp fires are allowed and you can even rent a fire pit and get logs on site. The facilities were lovely and clean throughout the day with plenty of toilets but only one shower. Because of the remote feel to the site, the views of the stars at night were fantastic, it would be a perfect place for stargazing. Would absolutely stay here again, thank you for a fab weekend.

Lovely peaceful site. Just the river, owls, and an occasional train or the roar of the sea and weir depending on wind direction. Milky Way visible at night. Very attentive hosts. Clean facilities and hot water for shower and washing up. Very tasty homemade jams and chutneys as well as milk, eggs and other provisions available to buy on site. Within walking distance of coast and historic town. Only downside is only 1 shower and 1 washing up place available so there might be queues when site is busy. Also, the hot water in the shower is intermittent when others are washing up.

This is a lovely site right next to the river, where you can watch nature in action. We had a tent pitch and there was plenty of room. The only downside is that the reception/wash area and shower and toilet are in a static caravan. There is only one shower and if the site were busy, you'd probably have to queue. There are also steep steps up into the shower and reception, shop, wash area, which could be a problem for some people. I should mention there are a couple of additional outside toilets too. Overall a great site.

This is a great place to stay when tent camping. The pitches are large, so you don't overhear noises from the next tent, and the facilities are very good and spotlessly clean. I loved the fairy lights in the night toilets. There is use of a fridge and kettle which is a great help, and a small shop with essentials. The site as a whole is well kept and the owners were ready with information about local places to visit, and also provided information leaflets, etc. The owners went way, way over and above the call of duty to help one man whose wife was ill, which I thought was extremely kind. I would definitely recommend this campsite to others and hope to stay there again myself. The area speaks for itself, beautiful natural beaches, interesting history and not too crowded in early July, and the weather was perfect.

Lovely little campsite, with very friendly staff and extremely clean. Pitches are large and have plenty of room. Very quiet next to the river. We booked for 2 nights, but ended up staying for 3 as it was so relaxing. Would have stayed longer but unfortunately, the pitch was already booked out. Next time we will book longer.

Lovely peaceful stay with plenty to do nearby. Nice size pitches in lovely meadow fields. Amenities were lovely and clean, with friendly hosts. Could probably do with another shower but it wasn't a problem, would happily return.

Brilliant summer camping site in a very peaceful setting. Totally lovely people and you never feel cramped in!! Hard to find, needs a campsite marker and only one shower. But even with that, a special place.

A beautiful location. Well organised site with plenty of space on each pitch. Really well thought out facilities, which were clean and well maintained. Very friendly site owners. I ended up staying 8 more nights.

First time camping, and wanted somewhere quiet and that's what we got. The static with the toilets and shower/bath was immaculate, nice little shop in one end and kitchen to wash up. Water temp is a little hit and miss, goes from cold to scalding but that's the only niggle I could think about, oh and the trains get a little loud at night but didn't bother me. We were down by the river, saw ducks, swans, pheasants and the dawn chorus is amazing, never heard so many birds singing before. 10 mins away you have Warkworth Castle and Amble, a lovely beach and harbour. I wouldn't think twice about staying there again..
