About Nethergong Camping
This family friendly site provides guests with a truly stunning setting to get back to nature on a range of grass pitches along with a choice of glamping options. Tent and small campervan campers are spoilt for choice on where to pitch in this beautiful valley with 40 designated grass pitches located across the 26 acre site, including lakeside and woodland locations. Some of the camping areas can also be let for exclusive use for families. For those who prefer glamping, there is a wide range of options to choose from. The eight 5m bell tents sleep up to five and are set within the orchard area and the main camping field. Each tent is fully furnished with exotic Indian-inspired interior, a double bed, and three single camp beds. Bedding is provided for the double bed only. The bell tents come with cooking utensils, an outdoor fire pit, a table and chairs, and a BBQ. You will also be supplied with a double gas cooker, perfect for those who enjoy cooking outdoors. You can also opt to stay in one of the site's four shepherd's huts. Billy sleeps up to two adults and two children in a double bed, single bunk, and single futon while Audrey, Ash, and Florence can sleep up to two adults and three children in a double bed, single bunk, double sofa bed. Bedding is provided for double beds only. All of the shepherd's huts are equipped with a pull-out awning to provide shade when you're toasting up the fire pit outside. You will also have a kitchen cabana with a hob and grill, along with an outdoor BBQ. Ruby the Romany wagon comes with a cosy super king sized bed which can be converted into table and bench. Ideal for couples, she can sleep up to two adults but there's plenty of space for a small child too and you can add a camp bed if you need to sleep up to five. There is also a hut located just outside the wagon with cooking equipment, along with a sail for shade and outdoor furniture for evenings relaxing under the stars. Campfires are welcome in fire pits, available to hire from the site. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only and must be kept on a lead whilst onsite.

Things to do on site and in the Canterbury area
Guests can enjoy exclusive use of the one acre carp lake onsite. For recreational use only, it's a great introduction for beginners, especially for families!
Just five minutes from the site is the River Stour with plenty of activities on offer including canoeing as well as ferry trips.
Keen hikers are within easy access to a number of routes including parts of the Saxon Shore Way. Bringing your bike? There's plenty of rides ideal for a day's pedaling including the route from Reculver to Minnis Bay, while Fowlmead Country Park is well worth the 25 minute drive with bike hire available.
You will also be within easy reach of some of Kent's stunning beaches, perfect for those warm summer days. You can find Herne Bay Beach just 15 minutes away, along with the sandy beach at Margate just a 20 minute drive from site.
