What a fabulous place. It was just perfect for us and our 2 dogs. We stayed in the clearing which had only 6 pitches and was adult only and dog friendly. This was ideal. It felt like our own private hideaway and although all pitches were taken, we had ample space to maintain distance and have privacy. We had a picnic bench and table with our pitch too. The site is rustic and I like that. While rustic it was still 'nice' and it felt good be outside. The shower was in a wooden shed with shelves and hooks and it was nice and felt clean. There was a men's urinal and a kitchen sink utility area. This was all for our field but others did use it, but we could use there's too. I have to admit, I wasn't sure at first about using the compostable toilets but I can honestly say I now prefer that to a portaloo any day! You put sawdust over your business and I thought that felt very green and very clean. It didn't smell either and it was hot when we stayed. The manager, Jason, was really friendly and helpful and accommodated our change of booking with ease. He pays attention to detail with lovely touches, like flower baskets to make the washroom and kitchen area look pretty, a small 'garden of flowers' too on the lead up to our small field. He had also got in some flushing toilets in the meadow. It really felt like being back to nature. Not at all commercial which is why we chose it. It's on a working farm and we have dogs so we were pleased to be away from the meadow and horse paddock. A nice chance to switch off. The meadow was much bigger but not too busy either with ample space between pitches. We did a 2 night trial for the dogs mainly, but we loved it and are keen on going back there as our time was short. Thanks to Jason for making it a lovely place to stay!

This site had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The facilities were basic but clean and in good condition. A lovely location to go on walks in some beautiful scenery. Very dog-friendly with loads of pups on site. Great place to sit out around a fire pit of a evening. Owner is fantastic and very welcoming.

Jason sent me a map and what three words, as the postcode was a little out, which helped. He was there to welcome us Nd I asked if we could pitch in the main area by the entrance (not where we'd booked) to save taking everything to the pitch site with a wheelbarrow and away from the car. We were going to an event in the evening and would return, not wishing to drive through the main field late at night. He was more than happy to accommodate that. The site was lovely and peaceful. It is an Eco site, but the toilets and shower both very clean, with bins labelled for types of rubbish. The only thing I would've liked was to have a general waste bin, rather than taking ours home, but I understand the ethos. We had a lovely time, thank you very much.

We stayed for three nights in the Littlewood camp and had a great time. Really quiet and secluded, and felt almost like wild camping! The campsite was in a great location that wasn't difficult to find and all the facilities were as described. Jason was really friendly and helpful, and was a great host for our time at the campsite. We would happily come and stay here again.

One of the best sites we have ever stayed at. Very well kept, great location. Feels like staying in a secret garden. Guy who hosted us was exceptional, really helpful and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be revisiting at the earliest opportunity.

Really enjoyed our stay at this site. The host was really friendly and welcoming. The site has loads of space to guarantee peace and quiet. The kids loved to play around the tent in the 'Clearing'. The picnic tables there are a definite bonus. Particularly loved the trees in the Clearing and hearing the owls at night. Went for a walk towards Brandeam and wildlife was literally jumping right in front of us. Never came that close to so many wild animals in a 2h walk before: deers, hares, rabbits, pheasants, partridges and we think we might have spotted a black fox too! The Fox pub at Brandeam was lovely and can cater for celiacs. :)

The person running the operation was enthusiastic and friendly. We stayed in the woodland area, which was beautiful. We didn't explore too much because of the weather, but what we did see was stunning countryside, and a nice quiet area for camping.

Plenty of room absolutely no noise. Stayed as a last minute stopover on the way to the ferry and found it a lovely surprise. The location was easy to find with the extra information from J, it seems it is so peaceful the sat nav sometimes gets lost! Lovely walks and whilst I was a little concerned about my first experience of a compost loo, I need not have worried as it was actually cleaner than my sons bathroom!

Stayed in the woodland part of this campsite with my dog. Owner was very friendly and helpful, site was clean and the woods were great to camp in. Only downside was possibly not enough showers - not an issue for me, but could be for some. Good location for walking, I'll will be back I think.
