A friendly face met us on arrival and although we had booked a grass site, we were given a very good sized hardstanding due to the inclement weather. Site ideally located for a walk into the town for shops, pubs etc. Excellent bus service running from Coleford itself, so made good use of our bus passes. Cycling trails are close by as well as Symonds Yat, Monmouth and the Wye Valley. Enjoyable stay. The only minus point was it would have been nice if the toilet block had had some heat, as we were staying in a particularly cold spell.
A lovely quiet site

We only stayed for one night as a stop over, but the staff were really helpful, the site is lovely and clean, mobile signal and TV reception were perfect.

Excellent location. Maureen and her staff are brilliant, couldn’t have asked for better. Had a cooker malfunction on the first morning, no problem to these people, cups of tea and hot water supplied. Campsite kept nice and clean with good sized level pitches. Toilet block clean and functional. Breakfast rolls are really nice and tasty.

Lovely campsite and had everything we needed for our stay. The bacon and egg baps for breakfast were very good value for money.

Came with my 1 year old and 4 year old for 1 night, was really nice and felt secure. Toilets and showers really modern and clean, waited quite a while for a sausage sandwich outside the kitchen in the morning, so would take my own food and cook next time. The play area wasn't suitable for young children as it was just little logs and rope, but apart from that it was lovely and clean and staff were lovely.

Very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Beautifully clean and warm shower/toilet block. Plenty of hot water. Also laundry room, freezer for ice blocks and good washing up area. Good size pitches. Close to many interesting places. Reception was very helpful with directions and local knowledge. Lovely to be able to get a breakfast bap and coffee in the morning. A very clean, well kept site. The only thing that could improve it would be perhaps to have more water points. I had a lovely restful stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Really warm welcome on arrival. Beautifully clean site with good facilities. We managed to forget our tent pegs and they very kindly lent us a bagful for our stay. Very close dog exercise areas, just along the path at the bottom of the site.

We travelled with friends who were on their first family camping trip in the UK. We wanted to find a site that would have good facilities and not be too overwhelming in terms of size. This is a lovely little campsite. Nice and quiet, and the facilities certainly lived up to expectations. Everything was clean and well serviced and staff were friendly too. We would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

We stayed for a couple of nights on 8th & 9th June this was my first proper camping experience which my wife talked me into going on. We hired a fire pit which came with logs, kindling etc and was great, this was waiting for us at our site on arrival. The lady we booked in with was very helpful. The first night was very quiet as there was only us and one other tent on the grass pitches, however the second night it seemed quite a big group moved in with dogs which were very yappy, so the peacefulness went out of the window. The toilets and shower block were both very clean and we had lovely coffee and breakfast baps from the on site café served by a very friendly lady. There are many things to do in this area and this campsite is very well located so things are easy to get to. We would definitely stay here again.

Toilets and showers were really clean and the site was well maintained. We walked everywhere because we have 2 small dogs, about 1 mile to Coleford for shopping. The site does also have a small shop/cafe. Would go again.

We loved our stay this recent Bank Holiday weekend. By being so close to the River Wye and the town of Monmouth, there was a great selection of things to do. The campsite had great facilities, newly renovated, and they even had the option to hire your own fire pit with all the essentials. Thank you!

An immaculately kept campsite with modern facilities. The shop/café has ample supply of essentials. Customer service was very good with Milo in particular working very hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It is a site that attracts laid back campers and certainly respectful of each other. The hardstanding pitch was excellent.

Had a lovely stay, my only issue was that the showers were only tepid, not hot at all. Very clean site, friendly people, couldn’t fault anything else. Quiet, lovely site.
