Set on 27 acres, the site offers a selection of electric and non-electric grass pitches. For those wild glampers, there are also bell tents available. Perfect campsite for our first camping trip as a couple. Wish we were able to stay longer to explore more, it was that perfect. Despite the heavy rain in the evening it was still a calm and welcoming energy.

We had initially booked for Monday to Sunday in a bell tent. This worked out at £80 per night. We called on the Friday prior to our stay to see if we could arrive a day or two earlier. They were able to offer the Sunday night at a cost of £120. We accepted this but I do not know how they justify the difference in cost. The bell tents are convenient but the beds are basic. The fold out beds are a little flat/thin. That being said, the campsite is in a lovely location and the staff are friendly. The farm shop is useful but expensive. The firewood is fairly priced. We were a family of two adults and two children, staying in one of their bell tents. The shower/ toilet blocks require guests to clean down after use. This is fine but relies on everyone being courteous. We liked that the site didn't allow music but we were woken before 7am on 5 of the 7 mornings by dogs barking. Arguably, this wasn't the fault of the campsite but was still frustrating. The washing up facilities were good but the sinks were a little too high. I would stay there again but I'd take my own tent - I wouldn't pay for a bell tent.

Slightly disappointed in some of your comments, it does generally seem that way when the weather is wet and windy :-) As you say, we went out of our way to get you in on a bank holiday weekend, the busiest day of the year when prices are higher. We also actually put up another tent for your convenience, this was the cost per night for the bank holiday. I'm not sure what you found expensive in the shop, so can't comment, but the girls in the shop work very hard to provide fresh food and homemade cakes which most find priced fairly. They aren't in the position to price the same as Tesco and wouldn't want to supply similar cheap foods. The showers and toilets are cleaned at least 3 times a day, not requiring guest to clean themselves. Antibacterial spray is left in all cubicles for your convenience, giving you a choice of an extra clean before and after use. I'm sure you must have seen the cleaners in at some time? As you say, you would come again, so I suppose it couldn't have been too bad :-)

We couldn't have had a friendlier welcome. Staff are efficient, site is very clean, well stocked and accommodating. Our kids loved the zipwire and the location is only a 'stones throw' from the beaches! We would highly recommend this campsite and we will definitely return.

Such a lovely campsite, super friendly staff, a lovely farm shop which also serves delicious breakfast baps and we had a scrummy roast pork baguette! Clean toilets and good showers. Enjoyed using the zipwire! Great location, not far from Woolacombe beach. Can't fault it.

The Bell tent was great for our family of camping-phobes, and the facilities on site were all great. We loved our first experience of glamping as a family. We have been dubious about taking a dip into the camping world, so staying in a bell tent at Lee Meadow was a great compromise for all family members. The facilities on site were great, there's a clean and tidy shower block, a lovely farm shop, takeaway food bar, and accessories store in case there's anything you forgot. The site is only an 8 minute drive from Woolacombe beach, which was a hit with everyone. The children loved bodyboarding in the waves! Would definitely recommend, and love to return again one day. Thanks to the hosts for having us stay. x

Overall lovely site and friendly staff. Great little onsite shop selling everything you need and great local produce and drink. Clean site, loads of room on pitches. My only slight niggle was the showers/toilets could do with being cleaned a little more, but saying that, it is a campsite. Definitely recommend.
Site's response
So glad you enjoyed your stay and would return and loved our site. I see you stayed when the weather was pretty bad. We continually clean and mop our showers and toilets a minimum of 3 times a day and pride ourselves on how clean they are kept, but grass pitches in the rain really aren't on our side. Fingers crossed for a better summer next year. :-)

Great campsite, we loved it. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of space between tents, very peaceful. Felt as though we were in the countryside even though we were only 5 minutes from Woolacombe. Walks from campsite and loads to see in surrounding area. Kids loved it, looked fun for younger kids too. Facilities great. Shop sold some lovely produce, would definitely go back.

I've been camping since I was a kid, I've been taking my daughter for last 10 years, and I must say, this campsite was great. On arrival, staff were very welcoming and kind and explained everything about the site. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean, and all campers helped to keep them clean. There were hire bikes on site, which were at a great price, also a zip line which looked fun. Farm shop onsite which sells all essentials, and does hot food for breakfast lunch and dinner, with a different menu every evening. I would certainly recommend this site to anyone. Also, the site is very quiet which was great. 10/10 for this amazing site. Thank you so much, and we will be coming again.

Booked as a last minute deal not knowing much about the site. Had an amazing time - couldn't recommend enough! Lovely staff, brilliant location, loads to do. Downside, no play area and my little one struggled on the bike park because of the older kids but it didn't detract from the stay - will definitely return in the future!

Such a lovely site! Family and dog friendly. Good facilities which were always clean (you clean after yourself which is way better) all the cleaning equipment is easy to find and out ready to go. Shops were great, we were able to find everything we needed onsite (Lidl close by if needed). Loved that you could rent a fire pit for the time you are there. Staff happy to help and good food on site. Couldn't want any more, and will definitely be returning!

Great campsite, lovely location. Lots of good onsite facilities. Bike hire and zip line available although very pricey. Plenty of showers and toilets that were generally clean. Unfortunately, other campsite users were not always respectful and considerate with leaving them clean. Showers would benefit from having another hook or two to hang towels and clothing on and a shelf to put a wash bag on would be helpful. The floors were hazardous and a more absorbent mat inside would help with this. A well stocked shop and good washing up facilities. Other people respected the quiet time rule and we had no disturbances. Decent sized pitches. Would happily return. 😊
Site's response
So glad you enjoyed your stay. When the weather is wet, grass pitches create a little bit of mess, we have commercial non-slip shower flooring. Nice to see you would return, hope to see you soon. :-)

Had a lovely stay and very friendly. The shower block didn't have any hand soap in and I think it could be cleaned a little more. Very well kept fields. Great location.
Site's response
We pride ourselves on being a clean and tidy site. If you had mentioned the hand soap, we would have replaced them immediately. We clean twice a day and it was wet when you visited, so the floor can look a little bit grubby due to the grass pitches. Feel sad you marked us down on the weather conditions really :-( Hope to see you again soon.
