Set amongst beautiful woodland, Ashbourne Woods sits on the doorstep of Dartmoor but has nature of its own within its 68 acres of woodland. Anyone is welcome, (dogs too!) from tent campers and caravanners to those looking to rest up in style in a micro lodge pod, bell tent, pod or other glamping options.
About Ashbourne Woods
You'll be amongst nature when camping at Ashbourne Woods. Campers can pick from wild camping pitches if you're bringing a tent, grass electric pitches or a gravel pitch with electric hook-up for your caravan. Those looking for some added luxury can glamp in a pod, bell tent or micro lodge pod, all with fire pits close by to enjoy a campfire. Static caravans with two bedrooms are also available.
Open from 17 March to 30 September
Facilities include showers, toilets, a utilities room and a laundry room with coin operated machines and two fridges. Campfires are allowed onsite and you can also hire fire pits if necessary.
It's just a ten minute walk to the nearest pub, the Church House Inn.

Things to do on site and in the South Brent area
When you're not resting amongst nature onsite, head out to Dartmoor right on your doorstep. A short five minute drive from the site to Pennywell Farm is worth the day trip with many activities such as animal feeding and goat milking. If the little ones want to see an even bigger variety of animals, Dartmoor Zoo is just 20 minutes away. Get up close to lions, tigers and more!
If you want to get closer to the coast, Paignton has plenty to see and do including stunning sea views from the pier as well as thrilling waterslides at Splashdown Quaywest.
