Owl Valley Glamping is an off-grid eco friendly site. The valley is home to a bell tent, two cabins and a geodome, widely spaced and private. Each a five minute walk from your car, you will feel like you are miles from anywhere, despite actually being less than two miles from Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore. A wildlife pond with a slate-bedded stream runs alongside the valley, and a comfortable and quiet retreat awaits you.

We had a lovely stay, it was nice and secluded amongst the trees next to the stream. We had our own facilities. It was comfortable, having a hot shower alfresco was amazing. Chris was an brilliant host and very accommodating. It was very relaxing, perfect to be in nature, especially in the rain. We will definitely recommend it.

A fantastic site, stunning location in a quite wooded valley with a stream a few metres from the front door. The cabin was beautiful, nice big deck to sit out in and the wood fired hot tub to relax in was the cherry on top! The owner Chris is such a nice guy, he really looked after us and went the extra mile helping us settle in with our 5 month old baby. Highly recommended, I'd go back in an instant!

Lesley and Chris made us feel very welcome on arrival. Helping us move our luggage from the parking area to our cabin and back again on departure. Whilst we hardly saw them both in between times we knew were they were should we have needed them and their regular changing of ice packs helped keep our food and beers nicely chilled. Owl Barn Cabin has charm and character in abundance with unique features we immensely enjoyed, were sad to leave and hope to enjoy again soon. Deer, robins, hedgehogs, dragonflies and of course owls (Barn, Tawny and Little by our count) are regular visitors. Spotting whilst we barbecued on the veranda or sat in the wood-fired hot tub. Starlit nights in the hot tub were very special indeed and a great way to soothe tired muscles ready for the next day of exploring the surrounding areas. The cabin was cool on the hottest day of the year and on the veranda was a fresh breeze blowing through the forest. Beaches and inland forested walks are practically on the doorstep with more of a short drive away. A great selection of restaurants and pubs close by and many places to pick up groceries make this location perfect. Thanks so much Lesley and Chris, see you next time.

We had a really lovely weekend here with our three children aged 1, 3 and 5. The geodome was beautifully kitted out, and the cooking facilities were great. The children loved exploring the site, toasting marshmallows over the camp fire and especially splashing around in the hot tub! The location is great, so secluded in the beautiful woods (we did hear owls) but only a short drive to shops etc. We spent our days on some of the lovely local beaches at Saunton (particularly nice) and Westward Ho! The family that own the place were very friendly, rightly proud of what they’ve created and keen to share it with others. They told us there was no rush to check out, and even offered to run to the shops to pick up bacon for us for the morning! Would certainly recommend to anyone. Just remember your bug spray as there were horseflies (but the spray really puts them off).

The hosts were amazing, super accommodating and sorted us out with a hot tub even though we didn't book one. It's run by a lovely family and the accommodation had everything that we needed. Set in the middle of the forest, surrounded by nature and you could hear the birds all day. Would love to stay again. Highly, highly recommend staying here. The weekend went way too fast!

Owl Valley Glamping was perfect. We stayed in the stargazing dome which has the most perfect name, with the clearing in the trees to watch the thousands of stars go by at the night. The dome was clean and homely, it was incredibly relaxing, amazingly quiet and the owners were some of the loveliest people I have ever met, I can't wait to go back! Also the name "Owl Valley" became apparent at night time when all the owls came out, which was amazing. A very natural calm environment, perfect to get away from everything and anything.

We had an incredible stay at the geodome! Chris and the family catered for our every need, going over and above for us. They pre-heated our hot tub, geodome, and the outside fire pit, also kindly offering to bring down our takeaway for us! The space is great, the camp is peaceful and secluded, but close enough to amenities and the beach! We loved our time there, it was great fun in the shack. There is nothing they have not thought of and we are very excited to go back!
