About Pleasant Streams Farm Camping
Set in lovely rural surroundings, the farm has plenty of space. You'll camp in pretty fields and close to a gentle stream. A small lake with a rowing boat and an abundance of wildlife is the finishing touch. At this relaxed spot there are no set pitches, so you can pitch your tent where you choose. Campfires are permitted in designated fire rings and you can buy wood on site. For those looking to park up and have their home ready there are five cute, bell tents for hire: Willow, Cherry Blossom, Billy Blue and Rose each sleep six. The Lily Pad emperor bell tent sleeps five. All the bell tents are located in their own private area of a separate field to the camping field. They have views of the lakes and countryside and are very peaceful. Each has a table and chairs set up for outdoor dining and they are all fully equipped with linen and own kitchen just outside. Guests are free to use the camping field toilets and showers as well. A cream tea or home made cake is included upon arrival. A real retreat from it all! Often found on site are wild geese, owls, hawks, buzzards, herons, jays, rabbits, foxes, badgers, field mice and trout in the stream. There are also resident friendly animals - the miniature goats Matilda and Snowflake, miniature pigs Rodney and Del Boy and some chickens and ducks (whose eggs you can buy for your brekkie). Simple and natural is the ethos here. Due to the local wildlife, unfortunately no pets are allowed. Children love to explore, try wading in the stream in wellies, rowing around the lake, looking for the farm animals or hunting for the hidden rope swing.
Pleasant Streams Farm Camping is open from 05/07 to 22/07 and 25/07 to 03/09.
