Had a lovely 3 night stay, 5 minute walk to the beach, 20 minutes to town centre. Staff very friendly, will definitely be coming back. Best cakes ever from bakery next to dolphin chippy. Chippy does a huge cod portion. Lots to see and do in the area. Site is well looked after, very clean and tidy.

Very happy with my stay. Friendly and helpful staff, escorted to my pitch, easy access to the promenade and nice walk into town. Clean facilities and plenty of hot water.

Although the was facilities were very basic, the shower was hot and powerful. Just a mile walk to Barmouth along the sea front.

Site is well maintained. Staff helpful. Good location and close to Barmouth and beach. The only downside was the Wi-Fi signal, which constantly dropped in and out.

Site has a nice location, quite muddy in pitches.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, one of the wettest summers I've known which is, of course, going to have an impact on grass pitches. We do try to move people around but with a busy school summer, that's not always possible.

Wow! Amazing place to stay, every member of staff we saw during our stay were so so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will most definitely be back and for longer next time, and we will be trying out other accommodation options. We loved pod 3, the sunset pod, and we want to experience the whole park.
Perfect site!

Brilliant site, close to the town and 2 minutes from the expansive beach and promenade. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the facilities are kept spotlessly clean.

Stayed four nights with our granddaughter, who upon viewing the site from above thought she was in heaven, a beach, sand, a play park and camper's children, and a shop selling ice creams! Met up with friends on the promenade and plenty of afternoon's play on the beach. The rest of the time our daughter disappeared riding her bike with other children on the safe roadways and playing in the park. What could be better? Oh yes, spent a fortune in town at the fun fair. Lovely café a short walk along prom. Didn't have the time to venture further afield on the local trains. Did I mention it was our fourth visit?

Toilet and shower blocks are tired looking, free to use shower, but don't stay on very long, all very clean. Pitches good size and flat, well kept surrounding, helpful, friendly staff. Location is great, very short walk to the beach and a flat walk along the promenade into Barmouth. EE signal very poor and Wi-Fi very hit and miss, but the views made up for not being connected. Sunsets are stunning from the beach/promenade.

I booked a night at the campsite for myself and 2 kids (12 and 10) pretty much last minute to take advantage of a fantastic weather forecast. It was simple to book, the reception staff knew who I was upon arrival without me even saying a word, and all staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The site is clean, family friendly, and in a great location. It's a 5 minute walk to the seafront, and approximately 20 minutes walk to the lovely Barmouth beach. We had a really great time and we would definitely visit again.

Took my daughter and 3 grandchildren on a camping adventure. First time for the little ones. They loved it, especially the littlest one, it was all new and amazing to him at 15 months. The girls in reception were brilliant and very helpful. Well-organised when we arrived, although a busy site, very peaceful in the evening.

A wonderful area and an amazing camp site. Very clean and tidy, very friendly staff at all times and the site is kept 100%, spot on. The toilets are very clean at all times, there is enough showers and toilets for the site and never had to wait 👍🏼 The wash area good and even had a dog washing area that was handy. It was mega close to the beach and 25 mins walk to Barmouth.

We were given our pitch by one man who, the next day told us we were not far enough over so had to move. A family came next to us and took over the whole of one side and lit a great big BBQ (fire pit flames were so high, we were worried sick). My wife has palliative care and has problems breathing. We had to have all windows closed and the weather was so hot. We were meant to stay until Friday, but we left Wednesday and no one has even been in touch to see what had gone wrong. Wi-Fi advertised but where we were at the bottom of a hill, you could not get on it. Not wheelchair friendly.
Site's response
Good morning. We are sorry to hear of your worries after you had left, we site all our customers and give clear instructions as to where the caravan needs to be in order to keep the fire breaks. In respect to your neighbour, we do not allow fires or fire pits and supply all customers with an out of office number to call if there are any issues, also as you would have seen the wardens do regular walks during the evening, especially looking out for fires and fire pits. Customers go home early for a number of personal reasons, some customers tell us, some do not. If you had flagged an issue up, that we had not seen then we could have dealt with it.

Not everyone likes barbeques, we don't use them. Too much barking, no animals and it could have been good. Slept okay.

On arrival we were welcomed, booked in and escorted to our pitch. All the staff we came into contact with were really helpful and friendly. The location is really good and a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Great to listen to the waves during the quiet night. Lovely shop with friendly, helpful staff. The toilets and showers are really good and cleaned daily and always a fresh. It was at the higher end of our budget but it certainly delivered what you'd expect when paying a little more.

We found this site to be lovely. The location is fantastic, a lovely 20 minute walk into Barmouth at the side of the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site is well kept and facilities are good. Our only criticisms are the Wi-Fi is poor (which they are aware of and told us they were updating) and the toilet and shower blocks could do with updating. That said, we really enjoyed our stay there.

On arriving, we requested an upgrade as I didn't realise there weren't any toilets in the Shepherd's Hut when booking, much to the dismay of my PMT suffering wife. Within a couple of minutes, they'd found us a 6 berth caravan. Considering the Shepherd's Hut had a couple of beds & a table, we now had Wi-Fi, a fridge, a kettle, a tv & DVD player, 2 toilets, a shower, decking with a bench & tons more room, which seemed like a steal for an extra £30! The staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with too, the beach was only a short walk away & the pub about 10 mins. I highly recommend a stay here. There's also a small shop on site, in case you've forgotten anything. 5*s for this place 👍🏻

This was our first stay and our first time with a camper van so the booking for two nights was to try the experience. The reception were very helpful and the amenities great. A 30 min walk into the lovely town of Barmouth with good shops, bars and restaurants. The beach was just just a couple of minutes away. The is a railway with a train running regularly but did not disturb us. There was a small shop on site to provide the necessities if required. The town and surrounding countryside with mountains and coastal resorts, not to mention the famous 'Portmierion' Italian Village offer a great selection to visit. The camping plots were a good size with electric hook up and water. The grounds were kept in good order and the toilets / wash room kept clean. I could tell there were long stay caravans established. Our experience has spurred us camping onward.
