This is the ideal place for camping with young boys. There is a great camping atmosphere and the boys made lots of friends to play with in the play park and football pitch. There was a good amount of space for our tent and car. The facilities were well maintained. We loved that we could visit the communal fire pit and roast some marshmallows with the boys.

Wonderful few days at Green Hill Farm. I really liked that the children had activities in the playground, running around the fountain, we looked at the horses, and many other activities. The house and the showers were very tidy. The only problem was that the internet was very slow. The team is very helpful and friendly. The cafe has wonderful food. We will definitely go back next summer. Thank you.

My partner, our two dogs, and I stayed in a camping pod. The pod exceeded our expectations as it included bedding, a kitchenette, electricity and it was dog friendly. Overall, Green Hill is great for any group. The property has the standard facilities as well as extras like a cafe, community fire pit, a children's play ground, and direct access to The New Forest. They have daily activities as well. We did not have a car and we're able to get there, but it would definitely be beneficial to do so. Lastly, the service and staff were so kind and helpful which was great.

Amazing site. Very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful. My only criticism would be the onsite shop, it only really does local produce which is great I love to support the local community, but when all you want is some coca cola or even salad cream there is nothing there. This meant I had to leave the site to purchase most of the food we needed for our week stay. But I understand why the site has chosen this way.
Site's response
Thank you for your review of your stay with us Louise. We do support local businesses and we are Bcorp so always try to have sustainable products and packaging in our shop. We understand that there may be other products needed which can be purchased at the shop nearby. We hope to welcome you back again another time.

Very nice site, clean and well organised. Staff were all very polite. We were really impressed with the size of the pitch, lots of room and didn't feel overlooked and it seemed to be quite a busy few days. Good pizza from the restaurant, showers and toilet very clean. Lots to do if you wanted to, but equally nice to sit and read your book and chill.

Great location, good services, though would be a plus if fire pits were allowed in the campsite.

I booked the site on a whim. I have no camping experience and was going with friends. I really did not know what to expect but we could not have wished for better. The site was superb. Great location. Well organised. Fab facilities. If you have children - there were so many activities. It is located on a gate away on straight to the New Forest. We had a great hike and saw lots of foals at foot as well as various breeds of cattle, including an adorable Highland. And a shout out to Rob, site ranger - lovely chap, customer focused, great humour and camaraderie. We'll be back!

We had the best time at Green Hill Farm. There were always things for the kids to do. The kids loved the splash park, bungee trampolines, the movie tent and the fire pit in the evenings. It was so nice to find a site that are dog friendly and where you aren't restricted on where you can go with them. Being able to sit and enjoy a meal and have the dogs with us made our holiday. The little treats station for dogs at the restaurant was a lovely little touch too. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June (2 adults + 2 children in campervan) and were impressed with everything about our stay. The entire park has clearly been renovated relatively recently and everything is clean and modern. The staff in every park of the park were genuinely friendly and helpful. Good sized pitches with electric hook up and nearby facilities, enjoyed the walk in nearby New Forest and will definitely stay here again.

Stayed for two nights with the hubster and dog. It was a lovely site, clean, great showers and toilets, friendly staff and they even had a field on site where you can let your dog off for a run (without there being any ponies to chase). The only downside was a couple having a domestic opposite us. We will be back

We were really impressed with the site and the facilities. On arrival, the presentation is cracking and the staff are welcoming. Instructions were clear and when shown where to pitch, it was marked out on a map. When I saw the location and how close it was to the main facilities like the playground, I was pleased as it meant the children could jump out of the tent and onto some swings. The drive was short to the electric tent pitches and half were empty. Sadly, this is where it got worse. As I came to the end of the row of flat pitches they began to go down a slope, quite a significant slope as well. Our pitch was right at the end of this slope and this was the worst part of the slope in fact. Pitching the tent was easy as the size of each pitch is large and sufficient and we were incredibly close to the facilities - both a plus and minus. However, due to the angle of this slope, the large tent struggled with over a 1-foot difference and it made it odd in size which meant the doors and zips on the porch struggled. Worse to come was sleeping. We spent 3 nights trying to get this right and never could resolve the gradient issue. On night 1 sleeping in the tent normally we all began to roll downhill and my wife and I had to regularly put the children back in their camp beds as they rolled out of them. On night 2, we all tried head end up, and just slid down our SIM and the kids slid down their camp beds. Night 3, we gave up as it was our last night and we couldn't figure out another way to make it work. So in all 3 very unrestful nights' sleep. This issue only affected pitches 7, 8, and 9 of the electric tent area. Pitches 1 to 6 were all flat, and completely unused while we were there which drew significant frustration from me as they were available when we got there and available still when we left. Why had we been given this awful pitch? I don't know why. All of the non-electric pitches were perfectly flat as well. So if you are going, either decide if you want electric and risk getting 3 awful pitches, or go non-electric and figure a way for it to work. Aside from this quite impactful and honestly unforgivable issue, the site is great. All the facilities were clean and cleaned regularly. Really close to places like Paulton's Park and has a fishing lake that is full of roach and small carp. Sweetcorn went down well and the reed bed area produced some of the larger carp. At night while the restaurant, Embers, operates 9-9, there will be guests still using the site and on a few of the busier nights, it was noisy until past 11 pm which was not ideal. On the last night, it was quiet and no guests making a noise but the kitchen staff of Embers was blaring some sort of gangster rap music until 11 pm instead and making an awful noise tidying up. The downside of being a stone's throw from the facility I suppose but not great for us and the children. The things to do were relatively easily booked, like the food, via a QR code booking system. We found that some events were cancelled without notice or time changed. We saw Survival booked at 4 pm on Sunday and waited to see what the weather was doing before we booked it as the rain was forecast for after 4. At 3:30 we thought to book it but was no longer available. Talking to staff they said it happened at 1 pm and not 4 pm. If we wanted to do it, they could change a time on another day to suit us but we were too busy to fit it in, and maybe figured this is how it changed on that day, at request by some other patron the time was bought forward. As a base of operations for going out and about it's great. It's also great for a few days there with the kids doing nothing as there is enough to keep young children busy. I would not be booking electric pitches there for fear of the slope and the non-electric are further away so may be quieter at night but a further walk to the main facility area.

Our stay was perfect. The kids loved it. Plenty of space. Clean toilets/ showers. Quiet evenings. An amazing afternoon spent taking part in the Jubilee sports day. The kids loved the archery. All staff were very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here. The gate at the back looks locked but it isn't, so you can go and walk with the New Forest ponies. Plenty of activities although most of them were fully booked before we got here, which was a shame! The only thing I can say that is negative is the long wait for food and drink in the Ember bar, but they were trying their best.
