This was the first time we had stayed overnight in our campervan so picked somewhere that wasn't too far away. Checking in was easy, your name is on a board with your pitch number next to it. Pitches were large with water and electricity and the toilets and showers were clean and warm. If you are looking for some great food, the Unruly Pig is a 20-minute walk away. The footpath goes straight across the golf course, but just remember where you come out of the rough so to speak, as it's not clearly signposted. The site is great and looking to go back again.

Would definitely recommend this site. A perfect location and great for families too. Will definitely come again. Helen was very quick at responding to any questions I had and even came around in the morning to check we had a good stay.

Flat grassy site with good-sized pitches, all with electricity & water if wanted. 20 pitches, 2 toilets & 2 showers for each gender, with 2 extra shared plus a family bathroom. So enough, but not spare!! Relaxed & pleasant feel to it all. Kids play area in the middle, so parents can keep an eye. 3/4 mile to the nearest pub, further to a shop.

The bathrooms would benefit from having shelving to hold wash bags and clothing. Campsite was flat and sites were generous. Helen made time to introduce herself and ask if there was any help needed.

This is a delightful, small campsite just next to the historical National Trust Sutton Hoo site with all of its Anglo Saxon treasures (5 mins walk from the campsite). It's easy to access from A12 and although it is small, it has super clean showers and toilets and washing up area. You can hire fire pits and wood - and in the evening when several fires are lit, you could almost imagine you are back in Saxon times! The pitches are all grass - but despite the horrendous winter rain we have had, it is well drained and so it was very dry and had good parking. All the pitches have electrical hook-ups (if booked) and water. The pitches are large and well spaced. We loved it - and with no light pollution, dark skies at night too. Highly recommended. There were lots of families there as well, and there is a play area and lots of fabulous grass space for them to run around and play games.

Small quiet site suitable for all. Great facilities, very clean. We had a small leak to our roof of our motorhome. The owners permitted us to use the safety steps to get access and make a repair, which was very much appreciated. Wi-Fi was a little unpredictable, and owner explained that was nothing that could be done until fibre arrived in the area. Very pleasant stay, lots of great walks in the area.

Lovely site. Helen, the owner was lovely, she left Easter eggs for kids to find. The children played lovely, safe area to have fun. The toilets/shower were clean and heated. The site was kept clean and tidy with easy recycling facilities. Only concern we had was for pitch number 4, as they had a long tree branch overhanging the caravan, we had very high winds first night and worried it would break. If you looking for small site, we would recommend it.
Perfect!

What a wonderful site. Toilets, showers and bath - spotless. Large plots with hook-up and water on each. Excellent drainage - we had a downpour for two days and the ground was still solid. Fire pits and logs available and a dog walking field. The only thing that could improve it, in my opinion, would be having access to the café that's part of Sutton Hoo. At the moment, would cost £15 each to be able to buy a coffee. That said, we'll certainly be back.
short break stay.

A small, basic but well maintained site. Just a short walk from National Trust Sutton Hoo visitor's centre. Very nice pub grub just a walk down the road (try the lamb). Free range chicken's available locally, which I thought were expensive, and you can see them at home just opposite the campsite.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay. The site was nearly fully booked but it never felt "busy" each pitch has a small hedge separating it from the next for extra privacy. I liked that all the pitches are around the edge of the field, meaning you don't need to be trapsing around other peoples pitches to get to the toilet/shower blocks etc. The play area in the middle was perfect for our 2 little ones, all the families on site seemed like minded and were very respectful, so that the site was truly peaceful. Great little shed with 2 full size fridge freezers, a kettle and a hoover, plus leaflets and books about the local area and places to visit etc. The toilets and showers were kept clean and the kids even had a bath one night, which was a real treat. Only negative for me personally was the spiders in the bathroom, but with its rural location, it's to be expected, I know. The road that runs alongside can be a bit noisy but as we are from a busy town, we are very used to road noise, so didn't bother us. Felt very lucky to have heard an owl one night of our stay! All in all, a great little campsite.

Breathable groundsheets should be insisted on because normal ones are killing off the grass and leaving muddy pitches behind. If they altered it to gravel or hardstanding on some pitches for caravans and motorhomes the review would be five stars.

Ideally situated, facilities good and a nice campsite. We had a lovely weekend at Sutton Hoo campsite. The site arrival facility was organised and easy to find. The pitches were generous. We stayed 8th-10th Sept and the pitch was a little bald but more than acceptable. Nice and private with water, electric and drainage all within the pitch. We visited the local area and enjoyed the whole visit. If I had to criticise in any way, I would have to say the toilet facilities were good, well equipped but could do with a little extra clean. Being a person that doesn't appreciate sharing a shower with spiders 🕷, I did use the mop to remove cobwebs before I de-robed!

Our first visit here and we were very impressed, our grandson was very happy playing on the small play area in the centre of the site with other visiting children. Well run and clean site, love the low hedging that divides the individual pitches, excellent for finding grasshoppers! Our only disappointment was that we were unable to book a second night's stay as we had hoped.

Unmanned campsite set in woodland and at the entrance to Sutton Hoo. The site was partitioned by hedges and had its own electric and water. Lovely play area for children. Only downside was that the ladies' shower drains were blocked and the water backed up to the shower door so shoes were floating. No-one to report this to as the site has no manned reception. Would definitely use it again.

Our second stay this year at this lovely site. Lots of room per pitch. Clean toilets & showers. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Next to Sutton Hoo for fabulous walks and ten minute drive to unspoilt beaches and Rendlesham Forest. We hired a fire pit this time - £10 with enough logs for 2 nights. Was a great, authentic camping experience.

Stayed here for the first time to enjoy a few more days of Suffolk sunshine at the end of the summer holidays. The site is well laid out with pitches around the perimeter and masses of space in the middle. Very clean WC & shower block plus lots of nice features such as fridge freezers and a dog walking area. We visited Sutton Hoo National Trust which is just a short walk away. Owners are very welcoming and came to talk to us and check that everything was ok. Will definitely return as soon as we can.

Fabulous campsite! Lovely spacious pitches, clean and considerate facilities (great bonus that there's a bath in a family walk-in shower bathroom). Lovely and welcoming owners. My sons (4 and 2) especially loved the playground in the centre of the site. If you are woken easily and not keen on noise, I'd advise taking ear plugs to drown out the noise of the main road and tractors going past as well as the farm cockerel! With ear plugs in, I didn't have any issues sleeping.

A nicen cosy campsite with great staff and facilities. There was even a hoover available which we used to clean our tent carpet! The site makes for a great base to visit nearby towns and attractions. We will certainly consider returning. Highly recommended.

This campsite was pleasure to stay at. The toilets etc. were kept clean. The pitches were clean and tidy and more importantly, the boundaries of each site was demarcated by a hedge, so no confusion or arguments there. The site was full but the noise levels were minimal. And it is so close to the Sutton Hoo site, just a quick five minute walk away. Brilliant.
