Only stayed for 2

We were going to stay for 7 nights but only stayed for 2. We booked a hardstanding served pitch that was just a little bit all overgrown. This site is more like a junk site cars on blocks, not clean or kept up together. We booked for a week, but only stayed 2 nights as it was so poor. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else for the rest of our holiday.

Although we loved the area, the site itself seemed uncared for. The toilet and shower rooms were never properly cleaned, with mould on the walls of at least one of the showers and general grubbiness throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful, but how the facilities cope when the site is full, as pictures show, is difficult to imagine.

I feel it needs renovation and daily cleaning of showers and toilets. There were cleaning schedules but in some cases, cleaning hadn't been done for a fortnight!

Toilets were absolutely disgusting and I feel they need an overhaul. Shower blocks filthy. Also burger van opens when it wants to, very dissatisfied.

We only stayed the 1 night out of the 2, only due to the weather. Site was great, had everything, toilets, shower was good, shop and café too. Didn't use the bar but looked good. Great location. Will use again if down that way.
Excellent location however,+ facilities were not clean.

Campsite was in an ideal location and we were never more than 15 mins from beaches, cliffs or places we wanted to see. There was a nice view of Swanage at night and it was a 20min walk to the centre via fields. Unfortunately, the toilets and facilities were very dirty. There was a mop left in each toilet and we were sure the cleaner gave the toilets a quick wipe and did not clean properly. Overall, the campsite in general was quite tired and in need of renovation. We will be going to Swanage for future vacations however, we won't be booking this campsite again.

Lovely place to stay. Close enough to walk to Swanage (20-30 minute walk) or you can walk to the steam train station 10 minutes down the road and hop on that You can go to Swanage and Corfe Castle from there.

It's a shame that a site in such a good location has been allowed to get into a state of disrepair.

This is a great site, have to admit arrived in the evening and was a bit unsure at first, but in the morning light and after meeting lovely friendly people in the club house the night before, was so much better than originally thought. Hard standing pitches have water and electric hook-up, one per two pitches and enough space for an awning. Lovely bar/club with a restaurant, also has a couple of fast food facilities on site, a shop, laundrette, very helpful staff and a playground for younger children. Is within walking distance to Swanage, which is a lovely little seaside town boasting a steam train service to other places (there is a station/stop just up from the site), which we took to Corfe, again a great trip out on a wonderful steam train. All in all great value for money and Will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Narrow lane to reach campsite with limited passing places, I feel that more information required to assist in reaching campsite required. Gravel access roads very noisy with cars especially at night, 5 mph speed limit not enforced, and was a bit like a racetrack. No information supplied on checking in about site facilities, Elsan point very open. Limited shop, food van good. Not impressed and will not be returning.

The bell tent part of the site was great. Very quiet and peaceful. Toilets near by but showers often cold, depending on time of day. Fire pit and logs provided. Some sort of outside of tent lighting would give a glamping feel. We added our own lights. I feel that providing a bed and small drawers does not make it glamping. Not enough dog mess bins and signage, and information was very poor. Never did find the camping reception although, we were told where it was. Other campers had same problem so not just us. We had to phone the site to find out what was needed as they never sent any details. Other glamping sites offer more. Beds a little on the hard side, we stayed for 2 nights. In general, it was a pleasant stay, although the rest of the site and facilities needed a tidy up and updating as they feel very outdated. Definitely missing a few tricks like providing food in the bar and advertising the entertainment on each night. The bar also needs updating. The takeaway food huts were reasonably priced and food was good, but all with chips. No jacket potato or steak, just pizza, kebab or things you'd get from chip shop. Nevertheless, we would go back for another 2 night stay but not longer.

Lovely site. Great location, walking distance to the beach. Food and staff were lovely and friendly. Only thing, the amenities could do with updating. Apart from that, great site. Will be back.

Beautiful spot, helped by the sunny weather! Short 20 min walk to Swanage, quiet bell tent field, near by toilet and good hot showers, cleaned daily. Food choices were fast food only, didn't use the bar area so can't comment on that. Tent great, beds comfy and fire pit well used. Would be good to have a BBQ and or bricks as standard additions.

You pay for what you get. Very close to Swanage but the site its self reminds me of Jaywick or a festival site. We booked for 2 nights but I couldn't face the dirty toilets and showers. It was quite bad. Also, people were lighting fires outside their pitches on the hottest day of the year, so sleeping was unbearable. Would much rather go to a nice quiet campsite with clean and tidy facilities.

We had an issue with our car and we had to get it recovered, so when it came to us leaving, I asked where can we put our car and caravan until recovery came and they showed us. We parked it up and went we decided to go to town. I went to the office and spoke to this lovely young lady who had been in the job 2 days who had a smile and a polite manner. The burger van on site was convenient for us and reasonably priced, the staff who ran it were polite and very chatty.

We have just returned from a very relaxing weekend away. We were in the caravan and motorhome field, surrounded by lovely people. Everyone was courteous, the weekend was peaceful. The showers were clean and hot. The best surprise was the location. Literally a mile from the beach, a nice footpath through fields, allotments and a quiet residential area to get to the beach - we didn't need to drive out of the site at all. We plan to return next year. Thank you!
All the basics great!

Good site in a great location. All the basic facilities were much appreciated: individual bathroom-style showers with unlimited hot water (no push buttons), good free internet, 20 minute walk in to Swanage, small shop, friendly staff and although we didn't use, an onsite food van and bar. However, the site would benefit from more maintenance, the pitches were overgrown, cleaning was adequate, the shower huts could do with a wooden style bath mat and mops, as after a few uses, there were pools of water. Overall, good value for the area and time of year and we would visit again.
Lovely views, shame about the neighbours!

Whilst the grass field with electric was fab, the electric hook up was tents and motorhome caravans using them. We had very noisy neighbours in the tent to the side of ust. We heard everything that went on including arguments and other stuff. They pitched there tent literally within inches of our over cab bed. They were all talking and arguing until 3 am. Also, the site asked to keep to your pitch lines, but many had pitched into the roadway, making it difficult to manoeuvre for large vehicles. Nice walk into Swanage. Site very dated apart from showers on the sea view field!

Within easy reach of Swanage beach. Quiet site with good toilets/ showers. Bar prices extortionate. A really good location, quiet & good showers/toilets. Bar was far too expensive and smelt damp inside. No food available in restaurant. Hardstanding pitches were gravel rather than completely flat and well kept grass areas next to hardstanding.

The bell tents were comfortable and well kept. We did request 2 x double beds, but when we arrived there was 2 singles and a futon bed which was very uncomfortable. We reported it to the office and it was put right very quickly. More washing and toilet facilities are needed for the people staying in the bell tents.

We stayed an extra 2 nights, it was very peaceful and very handy for getting into Swanage Centre. Would have been easy to find if we hadn't followed the Satnav and used a map instead - if you have a large motorhome, check the map before you set off. If we go back to Swanage we would stay there. The quietness might have been due to still being school term-time
Great campsite, family friendly, close to the beach

We had an amazing time this weekend - the campsite is in the countryside but only a 20 minute walk from a lovely beach with lots of shops etc. The site itself was not too wild but also not too quiet. The bar with entertainment was really fun and child friendly! Thank you so much, we will be back!
