Things to do in Worthing
Head to the seafront and spend the day topping up your tan and lying under the sun on a visit to Worthing Beach. Enjoy a paddle in the water before exploring the rock pools with the kids when the tide goes out.
For more seaside fun, wander over to the Worthing Lido. Kids can jump on the trampolines and ride on the Disney Fantasia train ride. When they’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy some grub at the restaurant and take in the sea views.
Before leaving the seafront, walk along the promenade and onto Worthing Pier. Look out to the gorgeous coastline and enjoy a spot of lunch before treating the kids with a visit to the arcades.
Alternatively, enjoy a swim at Splashpoint. Kids will love splashing around in the leisure pool containing a pirate ship as well as flumes to ride down. See how many lengths you can swim in the 25m pool too.
If the sun isn’t shining, take the little ones to Activus Worthing. Youngsters can have fun running wild in their multilevel play area while older members of the family can unwind with a coffee and a cake at the café.
Perhaps spend the evening aiming for the perfect strike with a game of tenpin bowling at AMF Bowling Worthing. See who’s the best bowler in the family as you aim for first place on the leaderboard. Afterwards, head to the arcades for a game of pool or air hockey.
To try something a little different, get creative at Art-Ful. With a wide choice of pottery to paint, kids and adults can create their own masterpiece.
After you’ve finished painting your unique creation, explore the stunning Highdown Gardens. Stroll through the Rose Garden and enjoy a spot of lunch amongst the lush greenery before heading to Miller’s Tomb.
Or soak up the medieval history at the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery. Discover the artefacts on display and explore the costume gallery on a fun day out that the whole family can enjoy.
When you’ve finished exploring the area, stroll through the Brighton Laines for some retail therapy or head a little further to Lewes and climb to the top of its castle for the spectacular views across Sussex.
