The park is the perfect place to come to Nevis Range and take part in the range of activities that are offered, including skiing and snowboarding. The 15 hardstanding pitches are suitable for tourers, and are a close walk to the gondola that will take you up to the mountain. This is a great location for a Scottish ski holiday!

Very convenient for Nevis Range, but quite pricy given the lack of facilities. An enclosed dishwashing, kitchen area and drying room would be appropriate for the cost. Paid less at many sites in last two weeks that had these.
Site's response
Hi Nicholas, thank you very much for your feedback. I'm really sorry that you feel this way about our prices, we try and keep our prices within the same price range as other campsite here in Fort William. In regards to our washing up area; this facility was damaged during our last storm, but we are in the process of fixing it. I will happily pass your feedback onto our line manager as all feedback is welcomed and we do want to be able to provide the best experience possible to you all.

Last minute stopover - used the camper site site rather than the overnight option in car park as we wanted EHU. Jazz was really helpful despite us arriving late. Easy set up, great facilities, showers were great! We ate in the bar, food was great and staff were lovely. Fab spot for cycling, walking and running! We will defo use this site again.

Great showers and toilets, pitches could do with grass areas to make it easier for awnings to go up. Overall, great site, stunning location, and beware the midges.
Very helpful staff in the hotel reception. Extremely clean facilities would definitely use again

Great place for an overnight. Level spots though some people seem challenged on where to park as even though they were well laid out, the wood markers did cause an element of confusion. The toilets and showers were close by and clean, though the hairdryers weren't working at the time. Only negatives, nowhere to dump grey water, though there was a place for black water and maybe a short term element but there were two skips at the entrance full of rubbish not a great advert! Otherwise, the receptionist was super friendly and helpful.

I recently stayed at Nevis Range Campervan Park, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Here are some of the main issues I encountered: Mountain Biker Focus. The park seems primarily geared towards mountain bikers, which might be great if you're into that, but for those looking for walking hikes directly from the camp, it's quite disappointing. There are no clear walking trails accessible from the campsite itself. Inconvenient Facilities. The toilets and showers, although clean, are a three-minute walk from the caravan park, which isn't very convenient, especially during bad weather or late at night. When we arrived, the showers were out of service due to lack of fresh water. This issue was fixed during our stay. Lack of Essential Amenities. There's nowhere to drain grey water, which is a significant drawback for campervan users. Additionally, the bins provided are small and not emptied daily, leading to overflowing rubbish and an unsightly mess around the park. Poor Customer Service. The customer service at Nevis Range Campervan Park leaves a lot to be desired. There was minimal support or assistance offered around the caravan park, which was quite frustrating when issues arose. There was no clear place to speak to someone in charge of the campsite. Gondola Experience. On a positive note, the gondola ride up the mountain provides access to beautiful walking trails with stunning views. However, this doesn't compensate for the lack of on-site hiking options. Beware of Midges. Lastly, be prepared for the midges. They were everywhere, making it difficult to enjoy outdoor activities around the campsite.

Just a few words about our stay. To be clear we came up for the British Cycling Nationals race so were not surprised about the amount of people that were on site this weekend. Showers - Nowhere near enough hooks, shelves or stands to put things on. Floor inside each shower cubicle is soaking wet as would be expected, but only 1 hook on the back of the door was not adequate. I think the amount of access cards for the shower block were over sold. Not entirely sure how it works in terms of hotel guests and whether they have en-suite facilities but there were not insignificant queuing times / waits to have a shower. The showers were cold/cool at some point on Saturday evening. Not sure what happened. System not able to cope or something went wrong? Water - Showers and bike washes out of action on Sunday. Really not sure what the "Low Water" message that was put on the signposts meant. Is the entire facility fed by tanks perhaps? Other guests - We met a few other motorhomers that were staying in the hook up area who had no idea about the bike event. They weren't particularly happy as had trouble parking their motorhome as others, directed by Nevis Range staff, had parked in their allocated spot. These people were also upset by the shower issues described above. Campsite hook up area - It's not entirely clear where to park and whose camping area was whose. We were ok as we were on plot 4 so had plenty of space, but I noticed lot's of other people not really know what to do, where to park, where to set up gazebos and tents adjacent to their camper vans. Water supply - It would be good to have more fresh water supplies dotted around the hook up area. Very inconvenient to have to move the van to fill the on board tanks with water. Grey water - Unless I missed it, I couldn't see a location where campervans and motorhomes can drain the grey water tanks from their vehicles. This needs to be provided if not present.

Excellent all round. Enjoyed the location, the restaurant and a forest walk and then went up the gondola in the morning which was great. Will definitely go again. Thanks.

On check-in we were allocated Pitch 1. It was immediately next to a skip which was full of rubbish. The skip was being used for rubbish because the bin facilities are very restrictive (i.e. tiny holes). We were moved without any issue. The showers are terrific. Spotlessly clean and hot. Only complaint is that there is nothing to hang your clothes or towel on other than the floor. We felt the layout of the pitches is very confusing. Difficult to know where to sit outside. And finally, a grey water dump would be great. Would stay again.

We paid for the night at the campsite, but had to pay to leave because the fence would not open without it. It was too early to find someone to help solve this problem. At the reception of the hotel and the ticket office, it was either that no one there or it did not open for another hour. Would not recommend.

This is a great overnighter on the 500 if visiting Ben Nevis. All pitches hardstanding, we paid for an awning but were unable to use it as couldn't get pegs in the ground. Not a problem but be aware. Facilities were very good and clean, albeit a bit of a trek if you need the loo in the night, but well lit. Used the restaurant and bar, food and service was really good.

We really enjoyed being able to park up and use the campervan as a base to go out biking from during the day. The campervan area with hook-up is away from the main car park and buildings so quite peaceful as only four other vehicles. The downside of this is you have more of a walk to the facilities, as mentioned in other reviews, however it is not any longer than at a big campsite / park. The staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful, especially in the ticket office when booking in. A few things which would be easy to do to improve facilities - let people know that the main toilets stay open as there are only two toilets in the facility area and they also have showers, so in busy periods could all be in use. Also maybe could make it clear that the facilities can be accessed by all for hand washing, hair drying, tooth cleaning etc. This may be an issue for some. A few more hooks and a small bench to put clothes etc on within the individual shower rooms would also be useful. We really enjoyed the venue and would come again. Many thanks.

Stayed for MacAvalanche event and rode the trails next day. Great food and drink from the bar, brilliant location and best facilities I have ever used. The only issue was on our first arrival, it was slightly confusing where to park in the pitches. Other than that, it was fantastic!

Ideal if you are a mountain biker, but area did resemble a builder's yard in places. But good for an overnight stop, with lovely warm showers. Thank you.

The power supply did not work. Was promptly checked by the staff and verified as working, but could not connect so had to run off grid whilst paying for a hook up. The following week's hook ups were all ok, so was related to the site hook up on my evidence. But nice and quiet when we went.

Clean and tidy, especially the toilets and hot shower (a little walk from the pitches down dark path and through a carpark area). A nice café on site, though it was a ghost town when we went due to high winds and lots being shut. The hardstanding pitches, we chose to park by the trees and brook rather than in the middle of "gravel park". One pot wash sink which did have limited hot water. We didn't use electric hook up but still £33 a night. This site is probably best for those fully self contained. Lots of mountain biking activities on site, not so much walking paths as restricted because of bike tracks. It was quiet and easy to find. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Great little site right next to the base station. Really lovely showers and toilet block - very modern, clean and excellent condition. Great place to trek up on the gondola or biking. Nice little bar/restaurant which was open in the evening with lovely food/snacks.

Great idea to have the site here. Really convenient for the bike trails and the facilities are first class. We had a problem with the hook-up and the staff couldn't do enough to help us fix it. Incredibly kind.

Fantastic showers. Both toilets and showers were clean and warm. It was very quiet and it's not until you walk round the corner you see how busy the main parking area is, that you realise how chilled out the park is. I would absolutely stay here again if there's availability. Certainly a good idea for the location.
