Located just a few minutes walk from the Fife Coastal Path, Silverburn Park Campsite is a peaceful site near Leven Beach. A family and dog friendly site, there are grass pitches on offer, including some with electric hook up, and three heated eco-pods. Start the day with breakfast at the onsite cafe, with days out at Fife's fishing villages and the ancient burghs of St. Andrews and Falkland, all within a 30 minute drive!

Lovely site, will be even nicer when the building works are finished! I'd like to come back when they are complete, what they are doing looks really exciting. Good walks, both along the beach and into the woods and gardens, also handy for the shops in both Leven and Lundin Links. It's small site, so will always be peaceful. I have not given 5 stars for facilities only because there wasn't really any laundry facilities, only dishwashing. The showers were excellent. This campsite is definitely one I would visit again.

We arrived after 4 so no one to meet us but we spoke to the café staff and got our pitch identified. Looked at the site plan and identified the toilet facilities, which were very clean. As it was out of season, it was great to find somewhere open that offered hook up, along with clean facilities.

Great site, the location was perfect for beach walks, forest walks and visiting Leven town centre. There was a park and other amenities nearby for children. Walled garden and the cafe nearby, were perfect for us too. Great food and drink at the cafe. We had a lovely time and had a great welcome on arrival.

A lovely campsite. It could just do with a grey water grid near the campervan / motorhome park, as we had to carry a bowl full at a time of waste water all the way round to the wash sink area, as I didn't have anything bigger! Also could do with a shower & toilet in the same field. We were lucky it wasn't busy or we would have been back & to, to check if they were empty (couldn't see from our site) The toasties from the little café were lovely too.

All good informed about the renovations taking place prior to arrival. Good, hot showers and great to have hairdryers. Laundry facility would have been nice.

Overall happy with my stay but have only one complaint. As I am 75 years old and have some joint problems and arthritis in my hands, I was not happy with the fact that the car could not be parked by the side of the tent. This was very difficult and because of this I would not be returning.
Site's response
Hi Ronald, we're very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us overall. I'm sorry to hear that the walk between the tent parking area and your pitch was a little too long. Unfortunately, the way the campsite was originally set up there is that there is no vehicle access to the tent pitches. However, we do have plans in place to make some major improvements over the winter, one of which is redeveloping the site to allow guests to park their vehicles right at each individual tent pitch. Please keep an eye for any updates regarding this :)

Had a really good stay with our two young kids. The campsite had everything it needed and there is a path straight down to the beach (about 10 minutes). We had a great time.

A beautiful area, 500 metres from the beach, this was beautiful and clean. A quiet campsite kept tidy, slight down side was the route in was very bumpy due to pot holes and car parking bays very small and often used by visitors to visit other campers! I booked an electric hook up. However, there is one mains box situated in site 2 with 4 plug ins. I found it extremely difficult, despite having an extra long cable to reach my tent. The on-site Window Café open from 10-4 Wednesday to Sunday was a gem, food and hot drinks were very tasty. Overall, a wonderful stay, weather was great and close to shops in Leven and just over the road to Blacketyside Farm.

My daughter asked to go camping for the first time so needed to find somewhere nice, clean and quiet to give her a great first experience, and it was a hit, she wants to do more camping! Great location, excellent staff (one a total comedian ;)) and very clean.

Plus points: great location, 5 mins walk to the beach, lovely forest walks, pretty walled garden. 10 mins walk to a handy farm shop, nice little takeaway cafe on site. Plenty of hot water. Clean toilets. Minus points: the tent pitches are very close together, parking is away from the pitches, not far but over rough grass so it's difficult to pull the trolley that's available on site for luggage. During our stay, only one trolley and a wheelbarrow were available for 8 tents. Management is not on site overnight, so although the campsite policy is for quiet time after 10 pm, this is not adhered to - expect some noise from drinkers, families and children. The washing up area is a bit 'tired' and rusty round the edges, the showers could be cleaner, especially round the floor and wall seals. The notice in the showers states that cleaning materials are available however, during our stay, after the first night they were removed. Silverburn is a lovely campsite in a beautiful location and with a little more attention given to cleaning and access to the tent pitches, we would have given everything five stars.

A great little campsite surrounded by woods and overlooking two nice links golf courses that run along a miles long sandy beech. Great 20 minute walk into Leven centre, with nice pubs/shops.

Lovely stay at one of the eco pods. We had a primus dinner on one of the benches outside and was accompanied by the camp mascot, Archie 🐈 The shower pressure was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable and the indoor temp was a nice welcome after three days out in the rain. Very welcoming staff and we were not bothered at all by the construction work. Could not hear it inside the pod. We will absolutely return if we're ever in Scotland again.

This was a really lovely site. It was easy to find and the staff were very polite and helpful. The nearby beach is great for kids, dogs and just having a general stroll. The scones from the onsite Window Café are delicious - we definitely recommend trying those! If I have one slight grumble, it would be that the individual pitches are a little on the small side. They could do with being a couple of metres wider so there is more space between the tents. You can hear everything in the tent next to you!

Stayed for one night as a base to do some walking for a fundraising walk. The guy on reception was very helpful in explaining where to park and we were handed a map of the park and it's facilities. The provision of trolleys to unload your kit was great and saved multiple trips back and forth to the car. Toilets/showers were situated close to the tents and pods. They are clean - they're checked by staff but not at hugely regular intervals. There's signs within the toilets encouraging folk to do their bit once they've used the toilet/shower to clean up after themselves and cleaning supplies in each toilet/shower room. Cafe - didn't get a chance to try it out but it looked popular and the menu when were checking in looked good. Walks - there's a walled garden and woodland trail on site - we had our 3yr old and dog with us so had a good time exploring. Our child enjoyed the walled garden and met a few grey squirrels which he was delighted to say hi to. We were using the campsite as a stop gap so didn't explore much of the nearby area - the farm shop across the road from the site looked lovely and would take a trip there. We did a chippy tea and went to Leven Fish Bar which was lovely and good value for money. A great stag and wouldn't hesitate to return. Very good value for money.

We stayed at Silverburn for one night. The setting is lovely and easy access to walk to Lower Largo or Leven. The site itself is part of the Flax Mill regeneration, so construction work is ongoing. Toilet facilities could be improved as not very adequate at the moment. Overall we did have a great stay and I'm sure we will be back.

I was advised to go to reception upon arrival to let the camp know I've arrived, but there was nobody at reception. I never saw any staff during my stay. Not a big deal as the check-in instruction email had the code to key box so got to the pod easily. Great place, very tidy.

Great spot to go explore the coast - far enough from the town to feel remote but a lovely route and short walk in if you've forgotten any shopping.

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 adults, 2 children in the pods. It's a really lovely location, with the beach in walking distance. There are toilets and showers which were all clean and warm. Inside the toilet/shower block, there is a hairdryer and socket for shavers. Beside the pods there is a sink area with drinking water and space to wash your dishes. We really liked the trolley that you can transport your equipment and luggage on to your pod, made it so much easier. Inside pods are a double bed, small sofa bed, microwave, kettle and fridge, all you need. Logs and firepits with marshmallows sets are available at reception, really nice touch. Overall, lovely staff, location and stay would recommend.

The site was beautiful, the location and views from the beach were outstanding. Lovely walks through the woodlands or down at the beach. It was very quiet and relaxing, well recommended. The staff onsite, in the office and at the café were very approachable, and they were willing to assist if required.
