Coniston Sports and Social Centre is a peaceful site in the heart of the Lake District, five minutes walk from Coniston village. There is 24/7 access to showers and toilets, with tent camping on either the edge of the football pitch or the adjacent field. Campervans can pitch up all year round. The bar is open Friday from Sunday with Sky Sports, plus a beer garden with the most stunning views.

About the site
Only ten minutes walk from Coniston Water, the adventures are all around. As you're within the outskirts of Coniston itself, you're also a short walking distance from local amenities. Camping for groups is available on a grassed area, please just make sure to bring along plastic tent pegs. If you're coming along in a campervan or motorhome, parking is on the hard standing. The site has a bar which is open on the weekends and shows Sky Sports, and has a pool table and darts board. There is also an all weather multi-sports game area. Here you can play football, basketball, tennis and netball. You can even borrow equipment from the site. Dogs are welcome to stay and are also allowed in the bar area, please just make sure they are kept on their lead at all times.
Tent camping is available from 19th May until the end of September and must be prebooked, however, this is weather dependant. Hardstanding campervan pitches are available all year round.

Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches
Camping around the edge of the football pitch or adjacent field, must be prebooked. Please note, only plastic tent pegs are allowed.
Non Electric Hardstanding Campervan and Motorhome Pitches
Hardstanding pitches available for campervans and motorhomes. Please note, there is no waste disposal.

Site rules and policies
Only plastic tent pegs are allowed.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and must not foul on the football pitch.
The site has a quiet policy from 10pm.
No fires or BBQs on grass areas.
No items are to be left charging unattended, due to the fire risk.

Coniston Water is a fantastic day out, the third largest lake in the district. Take lovely walks amongst the fells, uncover the National Trust's Peel Island and set sail on The Steam Yacht Gondola. Be sure to visit the Ruskin Museum home to Donald Campbell's Bluebird, just 3 minutes walk away.
