About Gwinear Camping and Fishing

This quiet site is perfect for families or couples looking to switch off and relax, with it being just a short drive from beautiful golden sand beaches such as Fistral beach. Crantock, Holywell Bay and Polyjoke beaches are also just ten minutes away and are National Trust protected. There are both grass and hardstanding pitches, all of which come with 16-amp electric hook up. The site allows campervans, caravans and motorhomes on both pitch types but only tents on the grass pitches. There are two beautiful fishing lakes, with there also being an onsite bait and tackle shop. Dogs are welcome onsite and there are lots of nearby dog walks for you to enjoy. No fire pits, BBQs are allowed if raised off the grass.

Facilities and amenities

Onsite facilities include toilets, showers, a laundry room, washing up point and free WiFi. The onsite tackle and bait shop also sells basic amenities. There is also a designated dog exercise area.

Just over a mile away is local pub Smugglers Den Inn, great for a hearty meal at the end of the day. Just up the road is a Morrisons supermarket, perfect for basic supplies.

FAQ

Dogs are happily permitted onsite, but they must remain on the lead throughout their stay.

Absolutely! As long as they remain off the grass, BBQs are more than welcome.

Check-in is from 1pm on day of arrival, and the site requests you leave by 10am on day of departure.

Awnings and pup tents may be brought for a small extra fee. Gazebos are not permitted.


A number of beautiful beaches are just a ten minute drive away such as Fistral and Polyjoke, and it is easy to travel further afield and visit even more. Discover a mix of golden sands, intriguing rock pools, dramatic cliffs and more along East Cornwall's coastline.

If you're wanting to try your hand at watersports then Newquay Activity Centre (10 minutes) is a must. Enjoy surfing, bodyboarding, coasteering, paddleboarding, kayaking and more with lessons available for every member of the family, and every ability.
