The clue is in the name, the campsite is sited in the grounds of the motel, and of course is on the main A21. We stayed in a camper van and the road noise didn't worry us a night at all. The electric pitches were near the main facilities. The non electric pitches were spread out with option to pitch in the woods which was further from the road. Our pitch was large and we had a good shade which was welcome in the recent heat. The facilities were much better than expected with the most sensible shower layout (the drying area was raised higher than the shower tray so it stayed dry). It's perfectly located to walk to Bewl Water and there are a some nice pubs for meals in the local village (about 2 miles away) as well as the Cellar Head brewing company which was a easy walk from the site. The motel units looked lovely and the children's playground was spacious. We had a friendly welcome and they checked in again on the first night to make sure all was ok. We would recommend for a short break.

Amazing campsite, booked 2 large pitches and the space was huge! We weren't charged extra for day tents etc, just pay for your space and do as you please - Fantastic little park on site and you can have a proper campfire!

So pleased you had fun! You can do as you please to an extent. We require dogs to be kept on leads & No loud music & campers must not chop our trees for fire wood. You obviously never did of any of these things, & so you were able to enjoy your stay, so feel free to return again

Lovely campsite, clean and perfect for a weekend stay. Showers and toilets were always kept very clean. Only slight negative would be its proximity to a very busy road which is quite noisy. Earplugs might help for light sleepers!
Site's response
Thank you for your comments. As I said to someone else, we cannot move the road, there is always talks of a bypass being put in, but we have no idea when that will happen. But good advice to other campers if they are light sleepers.
Nice place for camping

The only downside to this site I can think of is it's proximity to the main road (A21). It was completely safe and not intrusive apart from the constant road noise in the background. With the only bad point out of the way, there are many plus points! We enjoyed the space, woodland, cleanliness, friendliness, well kept fields and pitches. Bewl Water and Bedgebury are very close by and my boys loved the freedom to explore in safety as well as the ride to and around Bewl water woods. We had a very nice few days stay with BBQs and a campfire every evening. A complete success in my view so therefore would highly recommend and I'd like to thank the owners.

Thank you for your honest review, I am afraid there is nothing we can do about the road. Maybe one day they will put a bypass in.
