Really nice, friendly site. Both us and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Great views, lovely, friendly staff who were super helpful. l unfortunately was let down by the constant barking day and night from the local rescue centre.
Great location, a little tired but overall a good stay!

A great location about 15 minutes from Cheddar (as you turn right out of the campsite) local pub serving good food as you turn left out of the camp site. Great fruit and veg stalls along the road highly recommend stopping for some strawberries and potatoes! The campsite is fairly compact with a shop, pub serving food and a swimming pool. The pool was a little over crowded and it felt a little odd to use the same toilets to change in as the bar customers use! We stayed in Tor View - pitch up in a patch of your choice, no dogs allowed. However, we were next to a large family that didn't seem to have much respect for the quieter hours - playing music and talking loudly after hours - this was a little anti-social and inconsiderate. The showers and toilets although a little tired looking are clean enough and not far from the camp areas. Overall, a great base for exploring the local area.

Great location. Pool was great for younger ones and perfectly adequate, but cleanliness needs work, as do change facilities. However, toilet block is absolutely fantastic, especially if bringing younger ones or if pregnant/have a disability. Really spacious, wide doorways and cubicles and so much room. Best toilet facilities I've seen in terms of space and how it's laid out. Fantastic. Made such a difference.
Nice enough

Campsite toilets at top were a bit dated and the muddy weather meant that they weren't the most clean. However the toilets and showers at the bottom/ entrance were much better. Good singer on Saturday and it's nice to be able to take your dog into the bar area. The disabled toilet needs modernising and better facilities. The top washing up area could do with some matting to prevent the slippery mud. The water for showers could also be hotter. If you want a small campsite that has good entertainment and a swimming pool and park, at a reasonable price, with a well kept camping field, then you will enjoy Bucklegrove. it suited our purpose and was vey close to some lovely days out.
Would go again

The only thing I can say is the grass was too long in the camping field.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, we actually stayed an extra night as it was perfect. We would totally recommend here and stay again. A small, quiet and clean place with amazing helpful and friendly staff. I was travelling alone with a child and felt totally safe. On arrival we had been caught in traffic, so was a little late, but they were so flexible and understanding. Excellent.

This is a wonderful campsite, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are great and the whole site including the shower/toilet blocks were always clean. The site is located centrally to all of the attractions that we wanted to visit (Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Wells and Bath). I would highly recommend this site.

It would be nice to have an hour or more after the family swimming time, just for adults only - maybe 6pm till 8pm.

Nice peaceful site, only a short drive to Cheddar or Wells. Plenty of room for a van and awning. Nice walk just outside the park, unfortunately, no pavement so would not advise walking from the entrance to local destinations, although there is a bus route.
Nice, friendly touring site

Grounds kept in general good condition. Shower rooms need some cosmetic attention with painting etc, but generally clean tidy. Swimming pool changing rooms need attention on a regular basis as rather dirty on the floors due to not being cleaned throughout the daytime whilst in uses. Driveway needs attention as not good for moving caravans due to large pot holes.

Kids loved the pool, but sadly this was the only site in our 8 day trip (staying at 8 different sites) where the nearby pub and restaurant was closed on the day we arrived. It is not open all the time so would recommend checking before. Our pitch was muddy and we couldn't get the motorhome on it due to skidding, but we moved to a gravel pitch and the receptionist was very helpful.
Stay was pleasant enough

We were a bit disappointed with the location of our pitch. The swimming pool was ok, maybe not a clean as hoped. Facilities were a bit dated, but there were warm showers and these were pretty clean. Park was enjoyed by my daughter, but was covered in bird mess, could be cleaned off a bit more frequently. Didn't venture to the bar so can't comment. Staff seemed friendly. Walks straight from the site great for dogs. Overall we enjoyed our stay, mostly as the location was so great for local attractions.

Convenient location for Mendip sightseeing, quiet at night (no road noise). A drive over the grey waste drain. It would be useful for a campervan.

The only thing it was missing for us was a field for exercising the dog. Although I may have just missed it, I couldn't find one.

Lovely place. Stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately the restaurant, games room and bar was closed, which was a pity, but I look forward to coming back soon when these facilities are open. Clean showers and toilets. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place to stay, washrooms and toilets clean and lovely, friendly staff. Very nice views and so welcoming, will definitely be returning in the Summer as we had really bad weather. The campsite was well maintained, and the shop always had stock, which we visited a few times, cannot wait to book again.

My only concerns with this site were the steep slope from the main road into the site, as this caused our caravan to bottom out as we entered the site from the Wells direction. We had no problem when leaving the site with the caravan going out towards Cheddar, providing we kept to the right-hand side of the access to the site. My second concern was that the drain for the grey water at the rear of the pitch was almost the same height as the rear of the caravan, this caused a problem with the flexi hose we used for the grey water as it would not run away correctly. I had to go to buy a rigid length of waste pipe, to achieve a downward slope to assist the grey water to run away without pooling in the pipe which caused a problem. Otherwise, we found the site very good for a relaxing break from work.

Really lovely place, great location and staff were friendly. Only negative was that there were dogs located near to the park that barked all night.

Great campsite, and location of our pitch was good for the toilets and showers. Lovely little play park and swimming pool. Disco on the Tuesday evening of our stay was lots of fun! The restaurant served some delicious food (hunters chicken - amazing), and the staff were really friendly and kind. Super dog friendly for our little pooch as well. Great location between Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge!
Friendly, convenient campsite

Great campsite with friendly staff, clubhouse and pool. Our pitch was perfect with electric hook-up, space for a pup tent and a tap nearby. I've marked down the facilities by one star as although very clean and functional, the toilet/shower/wash-up block nearest to our pitch looked old and could do with a refresh. I do want to be clear though this is not a reason to not stay at this happy site and it's so close to so many brilliant places to visit! Definitely on the list for staying at again!
