Great site on the edge of Shaftesbury, walkable into town but definitely in the countryside with great views. Nice flat pitches, decent toilets. Fire pits and logs available for hire.

Close to town and open field. Pitched up at 2am which was allowed, and was great for us!

The site is in a wonderful spot, amazing views over Dorset, easy to walk into town with a pub 10 minutes away. The facilities are basic but clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay there again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ amazing camping experience! I recently stayed at Holyrood and can't recommend it highly enough! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking scenery that made for some amazing hikes and peaceful moments by the campfire. Whether you're an experienced camper or new to the experience, it's the perfect getaway. I can't wait to return for another relaxing and memorable stay!

Easy location to find, lots of room and incredible views. I had a very relaxing time. The toilets were clean but there was not many of them. I didn't use the showers as we only stayed one night. Excellent value for money. The owner was very friendly and came by to say hello. Would definitely recommend.
A lovely quiet campsite in an idyllic location overlooking the Dorset countryside.

The site itself has plenty of space and free run to pitch up where suits. The facilities are great, the showers particularly! Access to the site is narrow, especially if you've got a larger van but certainly not inaccessible. You just need to be prepared. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Great campsite close to Shaftesbury!

This was a perfect campsite for what we wanted. Basic camping, simple, clean facilities. Fire pits, dog friendly and a lovely, welcoming host. The location is in walking distance of Shaftesbury…but very peaceful. The view is perfect. We will definitely be coming back.

Very relaxed campsite in a gorgeous location. Facilities are small and nothing fancy but well kept and clean. Lots of wildlife to see and the town and a pub are a short walk away. Totally recommend!

We had an amazing time here and didn't want to leave. It's also only 10 minutes walk to Shaftesbury Centre. The owner, Jason, was also extremely friendly and helpful. We will be coming back!

Great views, clean campsite, good amenities for the basics and easy to find. Loved it for bike packing (Bath to Bournemouth), with the only downside being the hill into Shaftesbury (but it's well worth it). Could maybe do with somewhere dedicated to locking up bikes.

This was our 2nd visit to this site. Lovely views, quiet site and clean toilets and showers. Could do with another toilet and sink in the mens, and cover for washing up area. Good value for money. Jason was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend and visit again.

My friend and I stayed here for the Aug bank holiday weekend and we love basic, back to nature camping but with some simple facilities. This campsite is perfect for that. There is a toilet block, a couple of semi outdoor showers and washing up point. Toilets were always clean and plenty of loo roll, showers were lovely and warm. We both love the semi outdoor showers! Jason was lovely. He dropped off our firepit and wood where we were pitched and had a quick chat but otherwise left us to our own devices. Not overbearing or intrusive in any way. The field is big with incredible views and even with tents pitched in front of us, we still had a great view due to the tiered pitches. Shaftesbury was just a 15min walk from the site.

A lovely place to stay. Jason and his wife kept everything spotless all the time. It's peaceful and beautiful with lots of lovely walks. Shaftesbury just up the hill when you fancy a coffee and a wander. We'd love to come again some day.

Beautiful countryside views in a very peaceful setting. Nice flat pitches. You can hear the owls, church bells and the local donkey. We even had a peacock inspect our tents. Nice walk (uphill) into Shaftesbury and not far from the Two Brewers pub and playground. Basic facilities, clean toilets and showers with washing up sinks too. It's a real escape from it all campsite.

Excellent location. Jason was lovely and very helpful. It's a basic campsite, which makes it all the more perfect. Showers are powerful and hot. Very good toilet and facilities available. The site is an open field with 360 view and is a short walk to town. Gold Hill is a nice attraction nearby with a museum. Problem free and very pleasant stay. Thank you.
