Basic campsite with clean facilities. We only needed to stay one night, so we didn't need anything more than provided. Ate at a local pub, The Greyhound, which we walked to.
Solo camp plus one on motorcycle

The hosts were very accomodating and friendly. My family and I had such an amazing time at the campsite and we would definitely come back! The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and were within easy reach from our pitch. I would highly recommend this campsite.

Friendly and helpful owner, nice small site with all basic amenities and nice walls straight from your tent door! Also loved buying wood and being able to build a fire. Would highly recommend

Perfect, simple campsite! Toilet and shower block was always clean, plenty of room to pitch up and no strict check out times which was brilliant for us as a family!

When we first arrived, I phoned the owner to check in which was previously discussed the day before our stay (which was great!). We are used to eventually meeting the owner when they come over to ask how things are at other sites but we received no such welcome. Not a negative point, just something that we are used to as we usually stay on small campsites on farms etc. There is no obvious water tap to fill water containers except the outside sink. There was also no obvious sign for the campsite and parking is a premium, especially when busy, and the entrance to the site could be tidier. The camping field is a good size and pretty flat, although the grass was a little on the long side. A very peaceful campsite for chilling and enjoying a glass of wine around the campfire.

Lovely, quiet campsite. Fires are allowed which was great. Fridges would have been nice to keep milk in.

Simple, basic, clean and quiet campsite. No silly music, nice ground fire allowed, no large crowds. Good location near Matlock. Would use again without question. Drive slowly past or you might miss it!

Good value for money, ok location - only a short drive to some good walks - and nice enough facilities. Would have liked somewhere to dry stuff out considering it is Derbyshire. Also didn't really see much of the owners, no real greeting. Not a bad thing, just an observation. Overall a lovely place for some peace and quiet for a very reasonable price.
Would definitely come back

Great host, very friendly and informative. Campfires and picnic tables are a nice touch. Had to drive for a little bit to go for a walk, and could hear minor traffic when sleeping, but overall was a nice campsite. The cleaning facilities and toilets were spotless and the best we've come across.
