Spent two nights. Lovely owner who talked us through all that was necessary. Amenities were spotless and modern. Not a big site but adequate for the 2 of us. The pub is a 2 minute walk away and Keswick a short drive also. Would definitely stay again.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with us (& bringing some lovely weather with you Paula!). I hope that it's just as good for you next time, Paul.

Simply superb in every way. The location is brilliant for reaching so many places or for just one night stopover en route to the north or south. Minutes off the motorway but you cannot hear anything but the local surroundings. Walks all around plus the added bonus of an amazing pub within a moment's walk - food, hospitality and beer are brilliant. Dog-friendly and just like the Little Acre team- faultless 😀 Thank you all.

Thank you Bruce - that is a lovely review of your stay. Safe travels Paul

Lovely little site with one of the nicest toilet blocks we've used. Greeted by Paul the warden on arrival and given the choice of pitch as it was quiet. Only stayed 2 nights as we wanted to try our new motorhome out, but will definitely return. Lovely walks along the Lancaster Canal which runs along side the site and a great pub 200 yards away! Highly recommended!

Thank you for staying with us Sandra, and for leaving such a lovely review on campsites.co.uk. Paul

We had stayed on this little campsite before and we thought it was amazing, sine then they have added a new toilet and shower block and all we can say is "WOW hotel standard or better". Always clean and quiet, the owners are very friendly and helpful, pub/restaurant within walking distance and close enough to be near all areas of the Lake District but far enough away to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Perfect place for a perfect break, yes would happily stay again.
Site's response
Thank you for being a returning visitor to Little Acre Alexander, and yes, we'd happily host you again! Paul & Sarah

Couldn't fault Little Acre. It's all round 5 stars. Good location, pitch size, and facilities. Sarah and Paul, who we saw briefly, but what a lovely couple. Will definitely be returning.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with us Pamela and rating Little Acre at 5*'s. We try to meet and greet everyone and make sure that all is good with their pitch - and then as much as possible, leave people be to enjoy themselves! It will be lovely to host you again in the future. Paul.

Only stayed for a 1 night stop-off, but it was a lovely place. The facilities were very modern and spotless. The host was very nice and friendly. Close to electric hook up and water. It was really lovely to take a walk along the canal. The entrance of the canal is right across the road from the gate!

We booked Little Acre as part of a 2 week road trip and it was night 14 of 14. We booked it last minute on our way home. So glad we found you. Wow, what a find and what an absolute gem of a campsite - what a fabulous place to stay. The owners, Paul and Sarah, were lovely and so welcoming. The icing on the cake here was the showers. We stayed at loads of sites during our road trip and by far the facilities here were the best we had experienced. We hope to plan a break in the Lake District in the future and will be back to stay. Fabulous - thank you so much.
Site's response
Thank you, Izzy. I'm glad that you were able to close off your road trip with us and that your trip was such a great success. Fingers crossed that your Lake District plans come off and that we can host you another time. Paul & Sarah.

Small park with the best service from the owners, who are on site and so accommodating. The facilities are second to none. I really couldn't recommend this site more if you're visiting the Lakes or on your way to or from Scotland. 5 stars in every way. Thank you.

We were given plot 1, which I asked to change to a different plot as plot 1 is set side on rather than facing forward. I have anxiety and need bushes or trees behind the caravan or side. I was told that the only other plot was next to a house that was being built so therefore would be noisy. I was disappointed to see on my stay that plot 6 was never in use and would have been a better plot for my comfort/anxiety. I didn't think plot one should be a plot, there's an access road right in front of the caravan making it awkward to sit outside as cars keep driving past. The site was clean and the owner was friendly but I will not be returning to Little Acre Caravan Site.
Site's response
Hello Natalie, thank you for staying at Little Acre recently. I'm sorry to read that your anxiety issues meant that you couldn't enjoy your stay with me. Pitch #1 is one of my most popular pitches, as it is so large and has a large grassy area with it. You were quite late with your booking and at the time, I only had pitch #1 or #17 available for you and after offering the options you chose pitch #1 as you thought that it would work better for you. During your stay with me, I did have other bookings on #6, from people who had booked prior to you, one unfortunately didn't arrive for his stay and I'm surprised that you didn't see the other campervan that was on #6 during your stay. All of my pitches have a driveway in front of them (otherwise no one could get in or out!) and after looking at my booking diary, I can see that the adjacent pitches had a campervan, a sprinter campervan and a motorhome on them at times, but for most of your stay, most of the pitches were unoccupied and that at no stage were there any cars around you. I understand that you won't be returning to Little Acre, but I hope that you are able to find a site that can accommodate your requirements. Paul
