The Meadows is an adult only base close to beaches, the South West Coast Path and plenty of Cornish coastal charm. It's family run and offers the perfect mix of back to basics 'proper camping' and electric pitches for those who want to have a few extras. Next to a great local cycle trail and 10 minutes from the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

About The Meadows

Camping here is in six acres of grounds, meadow and woodland, in a sheltered and sunsoaked spot. Friendly and small, it welcomes those staying under canvas, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. For tourers there are electric hardstandings, or any type of unit can pitch up on grass, with or without an electric hook-up. Lots of wildlife like to make this place their home, including owls, woodpeckers, deer and flitting kingfishers. Up to three dogs can join you on your break.

Open from 17 May to 27 September

We do not accept stag/hen parties. All group bookings are decided on the management discretion.

Awnings and tent living spaces - breathable ground sheets are a must.

Arrival time 1pm departure time 11am.

You're camping right on the Pentewan Valley Trail, where you can pedal off to the village of Pentewan or pretty Mevagissey. If you spend the day strolling the coastal path, this is a great way to round things off and get home for tea.

For long lazy days on the beach (giving the legs a rest and a tan) head to Pentewan Sands. It's a 20-25 minute dawdle on foot or a five minute flash in the car. And you can pick and choose between many other beaches, with Gorran Haven and Polkerris no more than a ten minute drive.

Bring your pooch on a deliciously long walk to Charlestown along the coast, or to Roseweek, with maps available if you speak with the team.

And if you have your heart set on the area's most famous spot, this is a great jumping off point. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also along the Pentewan Valley Trail, steeped in rich history.

The Eden Project is approximately 20 minutes by car.
