stayed one night

Me and my husband wanted just a last minute night away and decided on this site, as we were kid free. Checking in was so easy and we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who went through all the facilities on site etc. Got to say the facilities were so clean and the site was lovely and peaceful. Only negative for some would be, it was in the middle of nowhere, but that suited us as we like to drive and visit different towns, so this was just a place to sleep. The price was reasonable aswell for one night. I would definitely stay again and would enjoy the peaceful surroundings and clean site

Excellent

Absolutely fantastic. The facilities were all immaculately clean and the staff were superb and really pleasant. The whole site is just beautiful and well thought out. Excellent for if you've got a dog. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back

Campervan weekend

Lovely site

Excellent site. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean, heated toilet and shower block. Fantastic dog field with the most amazing views.

Night away

Would definitely come back here. Need a car to get places really but wouldn't have to drive far. Lovely place, lovely clean facilities - kettle, microwave, gym. Perfect place to stay, good place to bring the dogs too.

Nice site but a little to far out for our motorhome.

All needs catered for

All needs catered for on this small, peaceful, adult only site Really helpful staff. They have thought of everything for you. Great shop, Games room, Gym, Books to read, etc. Washing machines, microwave, also. Fully accessible bathroom and toilet also for disabled. Lovely showers and toilets - very clean. Even a dog wash and an enclosed field as a dog walking area. There for you 100% if you need them, but apart from that they leave you to it and no strict rules. I can see why this site has won awards. Location hard to find on my sat nav. Rang up and owner explained easier to put the campsite name into Apple or Google maps as the postcode covers a wide area. Had a problem with my EHU on arrival and the owner willingly helped me out. Overall, really well run. Short drive to Longnor, Hartington, etc.

Lovely campsite

Lovely site, very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Staff couldn't be helpful enough, the site is very clean and have excellent facilities. Only reason I gave it 4 stars for location is because it's a 20 minute drive to bigger shops in Buxton and 30 minutes drive to main popular locations in the Peaks. This wasn't a problem personally but could see this as a negative for some. Would 100% stay again.

Great site!

Highly recommend this site, has some incredible views, the staff were really good. My EHU didn't reach and they were happy to swap me to another pitch so it did. They have a private sauna which you can book for 30 minutes for your self (didn't use, but certainly would if I stayed again). The facilities were really nice and clean too! If you're looking for a peaceful site with a bonus of it being adult only too, then definitely book this place.

Large peaceful site

What a fantastic place. Really nice facilities, friendly staff. Nice washing up area with a fridge, kettle and microwave. I didn't get chance to use all the facilities but the toilet block was really nice. Would definitely return here.

Lovely site

Beautifully clean site with lovely facilities - definitely needed our blocks as the pitch was not very flat and our pitch was a little tight to get into but, this would not deter us from visiting again as perfectly sited. And - open all year - fantastic.

A lovely site in the Peak District

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed Longnor Wood caravan park. This site is adults only. The washroom/shower facilities are excellent. Very clean and warm, with music playing as you walk in. Proper showers, none of the push button type. A friendly welcome on arrival, with everything explained about the site. We will be staying here many times in the future. Thank you to the wardens.

Lovely stay

The area was easy to find and staff were very welcoming and kind. The facilities were clean and lots of great amenities. Staff were helpful and the overall stay was brilliant. Thank you.

Amazing site, would definitely recommend

Amazing site and facilities, they have thought of everything! The only thing I would change is for there to be some advice that the pitches are on an angle so we could have been prepared with additional leveller, ramp etc. This is only our 4th site we have been to and have never needed anything to level the van.

Beautiful spot

A wonderful stay on a peaceful site, in beautiful surroundings. They have literally thought of everything here to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. We ordered pizzas one evening and breakfast baps, all delivered to the door and delicious. Some lovely walks from the site and we really enjoyed the sauna. Great staff who are doing a brilliant job of keeping the site clean.

Staff excellent

Every pitch will need chocks or risers, otherwise good. Pizza & breakfast delivery to pitch was excellent. Could do with less alcohol in shop and more basics like milk! Also, a small range of accessories would have been helpful. Dog facilities were excellent and the staff were fantastic - so helpful. Very quiet site even when almost full.

Quiet and remote site

Very nice site, very clean but some lights were out around the bins which made recycling difficult at night. We has pitch 19, which was great, but everyone used it to cut through to the WC block which was rude and annoying. From pitch 19, there was no path to the WC, so had to walk over muddy grass. Nice walk to village, all downhill there, but uphill back up a fairly busy road but worth it just for the views and the cafe.

Perfect!

This is a beautiful site. Stunning views. Great facilities, very clean, lovely showers and well stocked shop. The staff are helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning 🙂

Fantastic site

If this site was located nearer to the village of Longnor, say a ten minute walk, it would be absolutely amazing. The views are stunning. The facilities for our dog Baxter were superb, he had the time of his life. The wardens were amazing.

Thank you for this great review. Yes, having the facilities of the village closer would be useful, but it also means we are very quiet and tranquil being a bit further out. I am glad that Baxter had such a good time. I am pleased that you liked the views and found the wardens helpful. Hopefully we will see you again in the future.

Longnor site

A lovely site, with very clean facilities. There is a shop on site for some essentials. The site is located near a village that has 2 pubs, a chip shop, along with a village shop . On site is an enclosed dog field, with stunning views of the country side.
