Fabulous campsite, Andrew and his wife and staff went above and beyond too make us feel welcome. Campsite and shower area were spotless. Highly recommended and we will be definitely returning in the near future...

The campsite is easy to get to, there are clear indications and buses very close to it. The staff were great and accommodation was well cleaned.
Fantastic site with a lovely owner

When myself and my daughter turned up the owner said he hadn't been expecting a large double axle van (8.2m). This was at 7pm and my husband and son were due to arrive 9pm. As there are no other sites in the area, the owner kindly offered to sort something out for me. Some army lads who were staying on site were drafted in to move some tree trunks to make an area large enough for my vehicle. Then the owner helped me position the van so my cable would reach the nearest socket. The site itself was small with a restaurant and bar. Continental style Breakfast was also laid on each morning for you to help yourself to. Facilities were good although the chemical disposal point not great - just a hole in a pipe in the ground with no wash down facilities. That would be my only criticism. Would love to stay again but unfortunately unless I downsize I know that I might not be able to.
Nearly paradise

We stayed here for 1 night in our campervan. Really pleased with our stay. Clean facilities and a nice continental breakfast in the morning. The host was very polite and helpful.

Thoroughly relaxing place to be. Great experience for our dog's first camping trip. Only downside....I forgot to pack the citronella candles to fend off the 1 or 2 (!) midges. But that's Scotland. Will remember for next time, as we'll definitely be returning.

Great place. Arrived late (around 10.30pm) and went to reception. They showed us where to park up and the lady asked if we wanted food, saying it would be no hassle to make us something. Same again in the morning before we left, she asked if we wanted food and coffee etc.
Welcoming but pleased to see the campers go!

We arrived to a very warm welcome. We asked where the facilities were and were told they were round the back of the house but then Andrew added but you have your own onboard facilities. Obviously we knew we had toilet/shower in our campervan but when paying £40 for a night, we expected to use the campsite facilities. We did use the shower in the morning but felt a bit guilty doing so! An unexpected feature of this campsite was a lovely generous continental style breakfast. Whilst eating our breakfast, Andrew stood outside and was waving goodbye to people leaving. He said we should probably leave earlier than the 11am cut off time as we would be stuck in traffic as it was a Bank Holiday. He also added that it was illegal to wild camp and said all the roads past Loch Lomond were single track? We felt uncomfortable as we were thinking of booking a return visit on route back at the end of our holiday. We got the impression that it was great to see us but glad to see us go.

We used the campsite as our base to start the West Highland Way. We were welcomed into Drew's home, "Ardoch" the birth place of "John Muir", and made to feel very welcome. Lovely facilities for both campers and caravans and loved the use of the house in the evening, plus the continental breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for a place to start the West Highland Way, I would recommend this place. You can leave your car here (in safe grounds) rather than risking it in Milngavie!
Lovely site but better signage required

Lovely campsite situated in a beautiful part of Strathblane. The toilet and shower area was very clean. Unfortunately it was not clear to me where to park my motorhome. I thought I was in the wrong place and travelled further along the road and got stuck in a ditch trying to turn my MH back round. Tam who lives on the site was an absolute gentlemen and made sure I kept warm with lots of cups of tea and shelter from the cold until the AA arrived 5 hours later! Better signage with symbols of the MH area would help reassure guests they are in the right area. I would recommend staying here. I travelled solo and felt very safe 👍

This is definitely the most friendly, helpful and pleasant site we've been to. The staff above and beyond what you would normally expect. We had a delicious meal delivered to us in our van by the lovely chef. The staff are the nicest I have experienced in all the sites we've been too. Will 100% be going back, and soon.

Arrived a bit later than expected but Claudia was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Even cooked a fantastic steak dinner for us at 9pm. Would recommend this site to anyone, absolutely gorgeous accommodation. Well worth the money, top notch.

I stayed here with my two dogs and being a lone female I must say I felt very safe and the staff were all very welcoming. I must say a special thank you to Tam and David who helped me when my motorhome got stuck on the gravel path, entirely my own fault, but the guys went out of their way to help me so I'm grateful to them both. The site is probably best suited for walkers and people wanting the freedom to let their dogs run around. The main house/hotel is beautiful and you are supplied a continental style breakfast included in the price and at £20 I thought this was very reasonable, although I did hear it is £20 per person which could work out bit more expensive to other sites if you went as a family unit. This price included my electric hook up. You can also have a cooked meal at the hotel restaurant which I've been told is very good although I didn't bother as I had already planned my meal. For walkers or people with dogs, this is the perfect spot 👍.
