Lovely little place that is very friendly. On arrival, we were greeted and given all the details of how to let ourselves on to the site if we went out. Also given a print out of nearby walks. There is a little shop on site selling all manner of goods and the toilets are situated so that wherever you camp you are fairly near. There is a lovely trio of ponds that you can fish from and we were delighted to see little glamping pods situated around the site too. This site is extremely good value for money for EHU and washroom and bathroom facilities. The bathroom and washing up facilities were basic but very clean, showers were really hot and powerful. The site offers a fire pit hire with logs at a very reasonable price and they sold giant marshmallows to toast too! A very lovely place, friendly staff and gorgeous scenery 😍 Sadly, the weather on our last day was abysmal and we felt for the staff as their newly seeded field was a bit of a quagmire after we left due to torrential rain, but they cannot be responsible for the weather. It will definitely be a place we will revisit when the weather gets warmer.

Great place to stay. Very clean, amazing toilets and showers. Staff very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We got our motor home stuck in the mud (due to all the bad weather). A fellow camper called the owner and their son came to the site and, with the help of another camper, towed us out. A great place to stay, will return - thanks.

Lovely site, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our party was 2 adults and a 2 yr old. Was plenty of space to run around and the fishing lake was a nice setting for an evening walk around. Could do with a few more shower cubicles, and drainage for them as the floor gets very slippery.

Although booked months in advance, our hard standing pitch was changed to grass 24 hours before arrival and the reason given was that it was "double booked". Pitch allocated was next to main drive, path to facilities etc. Very noisy (young children), early morning to late in evening. To be fair, Staff were very helpful on arrival. Facilities were well maintained and clean.

Well maintained site, very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Small but well stocked shop, and ice pack exchange. Toilets clean, but basic, will benefit from the planned refurb in October. But perfectly adequate as is. Plan to return next year with more friends!

Would totally recommend this site. 30 mins from Alton Towers. Lovely, clean. Showers were lovely and hot. Staff were very helpful, recommending pubs to eat in, takeaways to have delivered to the site and they even lent me an electric lead as mine wasn't long enough to go from the EHU box to the tent. Shop well stocked. Absolutely amazing. Am planning to book again for next year
Perfect site for our needs

Tucked away in the Peak District, this site is very quiet. Wake up to the birds tweeting in the morning! Gravel hardstanding pitches with grass area for the awnings. The serviced pitches have water on the pitch, albeit quite a distance from the actual pitch (they are along the hedge row behind the pitches). The pitches are not level so you will need some kind of ramp to level your van. Facilities are basic but ok, could do with a bit of an overall spruce up but they serve a purpose.
Nice place but crucial facilities missing

Nice place, clean and with friendly staff but we booked to make use of the advertised safe dog exercise area and there wasn't one. We recently adopted a rescue dog, so this was the reason we booked this site. Mentioned to the staff member when we left a day early and hoped we would be offered a refund for the second day (left at 10am), but none offered. Disappointing.

We stayed here two days and found the location is good, just 15 mins to Morrisons so can replace anything in case you needed. The facilities are good, the toilet and shower are clean, and the staff are super nice. I like the environment very much especially since our kids can fish here. Will visit again definitely.
