Glamping Dome - Glamping Dome (Pet Free)Nov 2024

We stayed in one of the domes at Gayton Farm for a couple of nights. It was the cosiest glamping experience ever. We had an actual fireplace and it was mesmerizing to just sit and look at the natural fire burning while costing up to a cuppa. There are widespread lush green grounds outside, a cool village-like feel to it and all amenities except a microwave. However, the little kitchenette outside had everything we needed to cook our own food. The place was clean, quiet and so romantic. It was peaceful at night. I can imagine how wonderful the skies must look when it's not cloudy. Carolyn and Robin were very helpful and welcoming. Overall, a great experience to mark the beginning of winter. Will definitely come back in summer sometime. Supermarket, petrol stations and the city of Cambridge are all within a 10-12 minute drive. Some pubs around the place are walkable. National Trust's Anglesey Abbey and Wimpole are worth visiting for walks, hikes or just a leisurely picnic.

Glamping Dome - Glamping Dome (Pet Friendly)Aug 2024

Our weekend stay in this geodesic dome was fun and relaxing. Such a lot of thought had gone into the details and we easily found everything that we needed. Such a beautiful place to stay. The location is very close to Cambridge and a few National Trust areas to visit nearby. Would recommend!

Gypsy Caravan - Gypsy CaravanJun 2023

Pros 1. It was reasonably priced. 2. It was well located (close to Cambridge). 3. The hosts were very friendly and aimed to please. 4. There are plug sockets and a kettle in the caravan. 5. The on-site shower facilities were good (the water was hot and had good pressure). Cons 1. The gypsy caravan is close to one of the yurts - as the people in the yurt were celebrating a birthday, we could hear them and my wife was unable to fall asleep until they went to sleep. 2. The only cooking facilities require making an open fire - this is fun to do once or twice, but we didn't want to cook every meal this way. 3. The bed was a bit hard. We would recommend this stay for people on a budget!
