Great campsite couldn't fault it. We had a wooded campervan pitch which was spacious and peaceful. The facilities were exactly what we needed and the shop was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this campsite.
Loved every second of it

Where can I start. I stayed over the weekend with a group of friends. The site was better than we expected - the staff were lovely. We couldn't get over how peaceful and quiet it was. The wildlife aren't afraid to come and pay you a visit, which was lovely to watch. The views and walks around the site are breathtaking. Safe to say we will be back again. I would highly recommend it to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

The location for Cefn Coed was excellent. Plenty to do locally. The site was very well kept. With delish Thai food available.

Was greeted by a very pleasant young man on arrival who showed us to our pitch, it was quite tight and upon request he showed us to other pitches which were more suitable for our high 4x4. Some over hanging tree branches/bushes could do with cutting back to prevent damage to vehicles. The site has access to the estuary and within walking distance to a pub. They do have toilets, showers and a small shop, provide fire pits and wood (at a cost). We would definitely recommend and hope to return again soon.

I would definitely recommend this campsite. The only downside was I would have liked to pick my tent pitch. Overall we absolutely loved our stay. The campsite was clean and tidy and almost felt like we were alone at times. Was only a short driving distance from various different locations and the surrounding scenery was stunning. Friendly staff and owner. Would definitely visit again.

We just loved this campsite. We chose a woodland pitch and it was amazing. A bit of woods just for us. We ordered food on the 1st night and oh wow was it amazing, and so fresh and tasty. We had no phone signal while we were away, but really didn't care. There is a pay phone and felt old school calling home. Such a lovely place, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

We stayed in a stunning woodland location, the pitch was set off the track and so private and tranquil. The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean facilities for washing showering and toileting. The on-site shop was well-stocked and fairly priced. The overall stay was out of this world, and we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely stunning place with breathtaking views all round. A very unique set-up in the woodland pitches, felt like we could have been miles away from anyone at times, but just a short walk to facilities and great access to several different walks. Spent a few days/nights there with my partner and two children (3&4yo). All felt safe and comfortable the whole time and had everything we could possibly need from both very friendly and informative hosts!

Fantastic place. Got everything a solo camper or couple could need. Friendly warm welcome. Various pitches, from open field with great views, to wild-ish camping in the woods. All facilities were clean and tidy and well maintained. I ordered dinner for the evening. They do Thai food and it was brilliant as it was delivered to me by the owner on a bicycle. You have to experience this unique place. Will be returning soon.

If you want semi-wild camping, choose the wild camping spots. They are adequately spaced to bring privacy. The wild camping spots are relatively near to the toilets (nothing if you choose a pitch close to the site, 5 mins if you are further, with a bit of a hill). I couldn't comment on the fields. Make sure you bring, mozzie repellant and bite cream, we had three sunny days, and the gnats were out in the evening and morning. Other than that, the range of birdsong here is glorious, I was serenaded by nightingales, followed by owls. It was just peaceful and stunning. Be prepared for wheelbarrow runs, but worth it.

Just returned from our first family camping holiday at Cefn Coed and it was amazing! We took our 3 year old and chose to stay in the woodlands, it was perfect, peaceful and private. Adrian and his wife were so lovely and accommodating, we were given the choice of 2 pitches upon arrival and we decided to stay by the horses. What a great choice too, Our daughter loved trekking down the path from our tent to greet them in the mornings. On the second night we ordered Thai food which was hand delivered to our tent and tasted amazing! We sat round the fire for a late dinner and then watched the stars through the trees, it was absolutely perfect. Great location and lots to do nearby, we especially loved the steam train ride from Fairborne to catch the ferry to Barmouth Beach. Overall couldn't have been better, we've enjoyed every part of it and will definitely be back soon! Thank you ❤️

Really enjoyed my stay here. The site was very quiet with just the sounds of the birds and stream. Good views and fire pits in the evenings with marshmallows brought from the camp shop. Toilet were simple but the showers were lovely and warm.

Plus: Good views from the field; nice setting; not crowded even on a bank holiday; good location for Coed Y Brenin MT Bing; being able to have a BBQ/fire off the grass. Not so good: some road noise; no mobile phone reception; bit of a hike up to the toilet block; basic facilities which could have been a bit cleaner.
Picturesque location and friendly owner!

Campsite is set in a beautiful location and has a real semi-wild feel due to the location but having nice hot showers in the shower block! Adrian was also very friendly and helpful. My partner rented a bike (as I had my own) and we cycled down to Barmouth, which was only 30 minutes away. Great time all round!

Stunning tranquil location. We pitched near the river in a great spot that made us feel isolated (we like this). Facilities were well kept, the walk to the toilet definitely gets your steps in.
All good!

Very pleasant experience despite the appalling weather. Good, hot water, clean bathrooms and a very helpful owner (thank you, Adrian). Also welcoming for dogs, but ensure you keep your dog leashed as there are sheep and horses close by.
