This site has grass pitches for tents tucked away in a woodland area as well as a glamping cabin. Walk directly from the site, snooze in a hammock, sit around the fire pit to just look up at the stars, in one UK's few dark sky reserves.

About the site
This picturesque, back to basics site is hidden away in the hills and is a must for hikers cyclists and climbers who are looking to base themselves in the Snowdonia National Park. The site is also the perfect retreat for the less energetic if you just want to relax. Immerse yourself in the wildlife and scenery or toast a marshmallow on a firepit and look up at the stars. The site provides non electric grass tent pitches in a beautiful woodland area. Hammocks are also available to rent onsite for a true camping experience. There is also a cosy glamping cabin, complete with a comfortable double bed and bedding, bean bags, a dining table and chairs, a hob, kettle and all the crockery and cutlery you'll need. Step outside to enjoy the fire pit and beautiful woodland views. Shared facilities are conveniently located nearby. Being centrally placed, the site provides easy access to all the main mountain ranges, the Snowdonia Slate Trail and major gravel trails. This site is truly the ultimate location for explorers and hikers. Only hired fire pits are available on site. Sorry dogs are not permitted, so please leave your four-legged friends at home. Please note, that there is no parking onsite, there is an option to park at the Tyn y Coed pub for a small fee, or there are good public transport links nearby.
The cabin is open from 14th April and the camping pitches are open are all year round.

Things to do on site and in the Betws-Y-Coed area
Hike to the Yr Wyddfa mountain peak (20 minutes), the highest peak in the Snowdonia National Park standing at over 3000 feet. This isn't for your average hiker but the views at the top are breathtaking.
The Village of Bangor is just 30 minutes away. Visit Penrhyn Castle known for its history and architecture or walk down Garth Pier for great views of the coast.
If that isn't enough the National Slate Museum is just 25 minutes from the site. Take a trip into the past and learn more about the country's rich history.
