Quiet, peaceful and clean facilities

Quiet, peaceful, enjoyed a beer by the river.

Ideal

Used as a base for hill walking. Ideal site for those content with good solid amenities, without any bells and whistles. A great welcome from the site owners. The site is well-maintained and very very quiet, all you hear is the sounds of the birds and the flow of the river.

Beautiful setting

Would definitely recommend this site. The owners were there to greet you. Offered us a choice of pitch (subject to availability). Lovely setting quiet & peaceful.

Compact and peaceful

Quaint riverside location, peaceful and restful with convenient services. Convenient as a staging post for further exploration.

Five stars

The site is situated next to a river bank which only added to the quiet site. Facilities were good and there is a local shop just outside the gates if you need anything. The site is secure with a code so you have no worries of anyone getting in. The only disappointment was the weather, otherwise I would recommend this site for anyone visiting Scotland.

Lovely spot!!

Used this site as a stop over prior to Ullapool to catch the ferry. Small, but had everything we needed and was clean and very pleasant. Would certainly recommend.

Excellent site

Stayed on this site for one night but intend to revisit in the future as enjoyed a relaxing stay.

Nice clean campsite

We stayed here for two nights in our campervan. It was nice and quiet. The park is quite basic, but we knew that before we booked after reading the reviews. The toilets were kept very clean and tidy. Clare was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. She advised us of nice places to visit and she looked after the guests.

First timers

The site is in a fantastic location for sightseeing, walking, biking or just relaxing. Reception and greeting was good. On arrival we were only the second on site, though it soon filled up. Facilities, though basic, were adequate, and work was been carried out to improve them. Those on a budget would be fine. The nearest eating place/hotel is very smart, and the prices reflect that, though the owners welcome everyone. The food was excellent. We would certainly go to the site again.

Riverside campsite

Absolutely beautiful location beside the Blackwater river. Very peaceful. Good quiet cycling over to Strathpeffer. There is also quiet cycling around the glen through Marybank.
