Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite and listed WW1 Trenches is steeped in history and will provide guests with a truly authentic camping experience amongst woodlands. There are a mix of non electric grass and woodland pitches taking between four and 30 people, as well as an authentic World War One bunker. Relax onsite and listen to the birdsong or give archery a go. Brancaster Beach and the Norfolk Coast Path are also just 15 minutes away!

Couldn't recommend Dreamy Hollow highly enough for anyone who enjoys self-sustained wild camping but with the luxury of amenities! A peaceful dog-friendly environment with a historic atmosphere, clean toilets, showers, fire pits, firewood on demand and washing up amenities which were all respected and well taken care of by your friendly warden Harry. What more could you ask for!? Don't hesitate to book.

I wanted a little getaway in a quiet spot in a beautiful location and this ticked all the boxes. The pitches all feel separate and enclosed, so you can feel a million miles from other people. The team running the place are friendly and on hand should you need anything. The toilets and showers are easily accessible and more than enough for a back to basics trip away. The surrounding country side and villages are beautiful, making a nice drive to and from the site. All in all I highly recommend, and I will almost certainly be back for another off-grid weekend soon.

We like staying on interesting little campsites, ideally where you can camp among the trees. This one was just lovely. High point: we found chairs perfectly positioned to catch a beautiful sunset.

Nice, friendly site, the facilities were all clean and well maintained. Met by Harry on arrival, who told us all we needed to know. Our dog loved it too.

Very nice campsite with a lot of privacy, the layout is ideal for large groups and really makes you feel like you are camping on your own in nature. The facilities are exactly what they need to be. For the price, you really couldn't ask for anything more.

Love this campsite! Secluded pitches in the woods means you can feel alone and enjoy peace. If you like wild camping, peace and privacy, but want the convenience of a basic toilet, shower, fresh water and car park, then this is for you! Prices are very reasonable considering that they are not cramming pitches together like some other campsites. The site is in lovely rural area and could be a great option for bike packers or multi-day hikers.

We camped on Tom's pitch over the Easter Bank Holiday which was absolutely perfect 👌 Upon arrival, we were met by the sites warden Harry who was very welcoming and approachable if needed. The facilities are more than adequate for your camping needs. Although we didn't use the shower facilities, they were well used by other campers and looked steaming hot too. We totally relaxed into our surroundings which is exactly what we need coming from the city. Being woken up by the dawn chorus was a total joy, perfect way to start the day! We even saw a few white peacocks roosting in the trees on site! I literally didn't even know peacocks could fly - lol. Could not recommend this campsite enough. We'll definitely be returning!

Arranged a late arrival so was nearly dark when arriving. We found someone else on our booked pitch, we spoke with the couple who apologised and moved to the correct pitch. Once set up, the site felt very relaxing, the setting of the site is fantastic, loads of space around you and not too close to other people camping. If you like nature then this site is perfect. The toilet and shower facilities are basic, but we knew this when booking. The site has a very interesting history, we had the pleasure of meeting the site owner who took 10 mins out of his day to talk about the site and it's history. We will definitely be going back through the summer.

We have had a very relaxing stay at Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite. It felt very private as all people camping had their own little area that was surrounded by trees to camp in. John was very helpful to explain where everything was. Toilets and showers had hot water. Would highly recommend and come back myself as it's a great location too.

Me and my friend wanted peace, quiet and woodlands and we got it all. Wild camping was what we wanted and we got it. It's not far from the beach, the cutest community village shops, white horse pub and observatory. The staff are so so helpful without being underfoot. The WW1 bunker tour was worth every penny, eye opening and the knowledge of the tour guide was amazing. I would highly recommend a stopover or a long weekend getaway. Perfectly placed (once you find the gate). It was everything we wanted. The cherry on the top was the wildlife, owls singing.

We had a great stay at Dreamy Hollow. The warden was very helpful and showed us to our pitch and pointed us in the direction of everything we needed, despite us arriving late. The pitches were great size and we felt tucked away from others for privacy. We had some lovely day trips to local towns and made sure we had all the provisions we needed as there was no shop or pub nearby. The facilities were basic but did the job. The only thing I would've liked would have been hot running water in the washing up area as it rained the whole time we were there and we did not want to sit outside to boil water.

This site is a gem. I considered not writing a review just to keep the place to myself. For me, this is the perfect campsite. It's wild camping with all the benefits of a campsite (i.e. drinking water, showers and toilets). I went with my son, who is almost four, and he absolutely loved it too. We had a lot of space to ourselves. It's every bit as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The guys that run it are great too, really approachable, helpful and friendly. I thought the price was great. It's really well placed for the beach and not too far from small towns if you need shopping etc. I could just go on, but I won't. I'll just say I can't wait to go back. I would say that you shouldn't miss out on this place.

Thanks for your kind words. It's sounds like you're going to join our happy band of regulars. We have restored the naturally seeded woodland and WW1 trenches with traditional camping in mind. Aware of the cost of living crisis, we haven't increased our prices in 3 years and try to offer value for money. We love working at Dreamy Hollow, it is so peaceful that if you arrive a little stressed by life's troubles, it's soon gone after sipping a cuppa amongst the trees and the birdsong.

Thank you Helen, yes this is our USP the ability to choose your own particular spot in the woods. Each pitch is unique from the small, quiet shady and secluded, to the large open and sunny. Nigel's Nook is my favourite and I think the best almost wild camping pitch for miles around. Hope to see you again sometime.

Dreamy Hollow is a delightful campsite in a beautiful woodland setting that is very well looked after. Each pitch is different and has its own charm, striking the perfect balance between wild camping and looked-after campsite. The facilities were also great and had everything you needed, the bespoke shower cubicles especially note-worthy. Great location, not far from the coast and lots of other places of interest in Norfolk. We had a wonderful visit and would highly recommend to get off the grid for a bit and still enjoy the luxury of running hot/drinking water.
