Wonderfully warm welcome from Pip. Site is beautiful and peaceful. Toilet/shower block was immaculate. We were located right at the bottom in a lovely spot but worth mentioning that may be an issue for those less mobile to walk up the little incline to the facilities, so best to ask for a pitch closer when booking. But for us it was no problem at all. The dog field is a fantastic addition and our little chap loved it and our nightly dusk walk was enhanced by watching the bats. This site is an absolute gem, made perfect by such a friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommend.

A beautiful and relaxing adult only site. Showers and toilets are spotlessly clean. Pip is extremely welcoming and informative and went out or her way to ensure our stay was the best. The lake is gorgeous with lovely seating around. Lovely panoramic views. The sounds of the farm animals adds to the enjoyment of the site. Access to lovely pubs with excellent food, villages and places of interest are a short drive away. We enjoyed a wonderful stay.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Camping PitchesAug 2024

Such a beautiful place, it was laidback and intermittently quiet. The only negative is that there seems to be a generator running for most of the time which spoilt the peace. Apart from that, it's a great place to camp.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2024

What a fantastic site, spotlessly clean, lovely big level pitches and so well maintained. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. The owner, Pip, is lovely and couldn't be more helpful. It is so peaceful, no road noise, just the sound of the birds and occasionally, Pip's donkey! It's not overly lit up at night either which I really like. It is quite far from a major supermarket, 10 miles maybe? There's a little shop a few miles away for all the essentials. The enclosed dog walking field is a great feature, your dogs can run and play off-lead safely. I highly recommend this site to anyone wanting a peaceful rural getaway.

Very quiet site

The site itself is lovely - very well looked after. We chose it as it is adult only and has a private fishing lake. However it should be noted that the roads leading to the site are extremely narrow (single track with occasional passing places) and the site is quite remote. As motorhome owners once we park we rely on e-bikes. The nearest shops were around 11 miles away (Ross in Wye). Although this didn't detract from our enjoyment it is worth noting.

Site's response

Good afternoon, thank you for your review and pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. However, as stated on our welcome sheet I gave you on arrival, there is the small village; Ewyas Harold which has two butchers, a fish and chip shop and a village shop also other local village stores in Wormelow, St Weonards and Pontrilas all of which are within four miles of our site. The site is approached via country lanes, of which there are passing points throughout. We run an eighteen tonne live stock lorry and have various artic lorries for collections and deliveries twice a week, I do think the wording "extremely narrow" is a little unfair.

Lovely peaceful adult only site

Lovely site accessible via quite a narrow lane. Very obliging locals, who pulled over to let us through with the caravan. Excellent fully enclosed dog walking field. Really peaceful and quiet. Owner is very welcoming and has a really useful information sheet about local pubs and shops. Barbecues and firepits are available from the site office.

Wonderful stay

Pip the owner is a lovely courteous person who greeted us on arrival and explained all about the amenities. There is a mixture of pitches with more than ample space between each pitch. The site is clean, well maintained and in a beautiful setting. They have just opened a fully secure 2 acre field where you can let your dog/dogs run. Our 2 dogs absolutely loved it! We liked the site so much we stayed an extra night. We will definitely go back to this gem of a site.

Pip the owner is very friendly and helpful. The site, beside being muddy, is clean. Shower and toilet block clean. Lovely fresh eggs for sale. Situated in the middle of nowhere so ideal for walking and touring. Definitely will be back.

Beautifully laid out site situated around a lake with trees and seats to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that this site offers. Centrally located to enjoy quite a few quaint market towns within half an hour's drive. The tidiness of the site and cleanliness of the facilities are first class. The owners were really helpful in every way. We will definitely be booking again. For couples, this site would really take some beating. Thanks Pip and family. It was a pleasure meeting you!

Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2023

Lovely clean and quiet site, however access tricky for large caravans due to very narrow lanes. Toilet and showers always very clean and tidy. Lovely views and very peaceful site. Grass very long, so need wellies to get to the toilet. No phone service, WI Fi charged at £3.00 per day. BBQ hire £3.00 per day, but have to be hired for whole duration of stay, so £21.00 for a week to use only twice, didn't bother to hire. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely peaceful site

Very quiet site with fab views. No dog walking enclosure at the moment but they are in the process of getting one up and running. Was not a problem, the lanes were very quiet to take the dog off lead. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Lovely site, very clean but toilets are a little too far

I would recommend this campsite. Very clean the owner Pip was very welcoming the site was immaculate and the views were fantastic Our problem was the campsite was in the middle of no where so no walks unless you wanted to walk on a very narrow road to the nearest pub.We have a 3 legged dog, and it would've been 2 miles there and 2 miles back.

Beautiful views

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2023

The site is clean and the views are amazing, with lake on site. Not many accessible dog walks due to no footpaths. Check in was not a positive experience. After travelling 4 hours in car arrived tired and fed up only to be told I had no booking and the site was full. My tablet was at home which had my confirmation email on. I gave Pip my confirmation number but she said she didn't recognise the confirmation. I had to ring my daughter, who luckily was at home and she checked my email and forwarded me it to show Pip. We got settled on a pitch which was a relief, but really not a good way to start our holiday. Wanted to pay for Wi-Fi but couldn't access it on our TV. Pip was very helpful trying to get us access, but it never worked for us, even though we were parked under the hub.

Good location

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Camping PitchesAug 2023

Read reviews beforehand, so was well aware of the slope to facilities! Also pitches are also on slope, be mindful when pitching tent and cooking (food slides to back of pan). Toilets/showers clean. Could possibly do with more men's toilets (only 2). Only slight criticism are the wash up facilities. Two sinks, but only one draining board. Seems a bit strange. You have to time it right, so you can allow things to drain. But, lovely peaceful adult campsite. Will certainly return next year. Pip (owner), very friendly, and accommodating.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Camping PitchesJul 2023

Postcode on the satnav takes you straight there, so easy to find in the middle of nowhere down a series of country lanes. Site was spotlessly clean. Nice welcome from Pip the owner. Lots of available space for camping although the remaining pitches could be quite slopey if it starts filling up. We had to book two nights on the weekend even though we only wanted to stay for one, but the cost was reasonable enough not to be a problem. Adults-only site, so pretty quiet although there was one caravan whose residents decided that their conversation was so interesting that you had to hear it from the other side of the site.
