Located in the sweeping landscape of the Peak District National Park, Knotlow Farm is a tranquil campsite in an ideal location between Buxton and Bakewell. Great for campers and tourers, pitch up on one of the site's spacious camping fields (family-friendly or adults-only). For those glampers, choose a retreat in one of the pods with a hot tub! Many walking and cycling trails are nearby, including easy access to the famous Limestone Way.

Really enjoyed our stay in the glamping pods and the location and facilities at Knotlow farm. The hot tub was well maintained and private. We visited Chatsworth at Christmas and this was an excellent location to stay. Would use again. Thanks Knotlow farm for accommodating us 🙂

Nice place, very relaxing, cabin was lovely and cosy. Toilets and showers were very clean. Very disappointed with the hot tub not being cleaned properly, there was a horrible layer of bubbly scum on top every time we went in. I don't think the filters had been cleaned and there was way too much chlorine as well that really hurt your eyes...very poor. Also I wouldn't have booked if I didn't know that the pizza service and breakfast service wasn't available. I wasn't told that even on the phone call I had with the lady before our visit. She basically said bring plenty of supplies, which was fine, but why advertise pizza and breakfast but don't mention you don't do it in winter? Also the coffee machine in the toilet and shower room had no cups. I felt I should get some sort of a refund for the poor hot tub and poor food service that was non existent.

Very well managed fields, super clean toilets and showers. Great options to be in an adult only field and beautiful views of the sunset from the site. Highly recommend!

Came here with my girlfriend and was a great 2 nights away. With the time of year, it was quite quiet, but very nice and staff were friendly. Quick check in and didn't need to see or hear from anyone after. Will definitely return.

Always enjoyed my stays at this site. I did not order any food from the shop this time, but I have in the past and it is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful, toilets/cleaning facilities are always well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this site if you want a small get away to a quiet site.

We loved our stay at this remote farm. The staff were all very helpful, responsive, and friendly. The bathrooms were clean, big, and well-taken care of. Lots of areas to camp. In a good location; we visited Buxton and Chatsworth House. We would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely campsite, we stayed with a group and managed to pitch next to each other away from other tents for a bit of privacy. Walk to pub only 30 minutes away and facilities on campsite were great. Pizzas were lovely and great to have them ready for collection, as well as breakfast which saved on any washing up. Bit of a walk to toilet block if you're in the furthest field like us. However, toilets and showers were very clean and never waited.

Really nice campsite, well looked after throughout. We appreciated the separation of the adult and family fields, but did wonder if there is enough toilet and wash capacity at busy times of the day. The lack of privacy in the women's toilet and sink area might be worth a rethink - perhaps a screen in front of the door? Lovely reception on arrival. The Bull at Monyash is a good pub only 10 minutes walk away.

We stayed for two nights, and I have to say the place well exceeded my expectations. Campsite is well located to visit other locations, the facilities are spotless and the campsite is clean and tidy. There is also three public houses within a 40 min walk. Definitely will be staying here again.

We took our nearly two-year-old for one night to Knotlow Farm. As inexperienced campers, it was a great introduction. Lovely, quiet campsite, especially for families. Ordered pizza for the evening which was delicious and reasonably priced. Only niggle was the plane noises overhead throughout the night did disturb our sleep. Apart from that a brilliant campsite, would definitely return.

Knotlow campsite is in the middle of nowhere yet was central to every where we wanted to visit. Chatsworth House is less than 25 minutes away as is Bakewell and Buxton. The facilities were clean and modern and well maintained. The site offered breakfast baps which were very good quality and value for money.. There are lots of pubs within 5 miles of the campsite, although not many are open on a Monday or Tuesday so book before you go. We would definitely stay here again.

The camping is really nice and well kept. The location is great and is close to many hiking trails and other attractions. Being far away from big roads means that you don't hear a lot of noises. The ice cream they sell is really good! The only negative points are that toilets and showers are quite far away if you are staying in the adults camping (not a family) and become quite busy at times. Also, toilets were not always clean (probably due to many kids using them) and you need to pay to shower.

We really enjoyed our first ever stay in a glamping pod! Celebrating our anniversary in absolute peace and heaven! The BBQ was amazing and very handy, lovely surroundings and beautiful walks to go on. It was a clean, cosy and comfortable pod, the hot tub was great! Our stay was 10/10 and the staff/ owners were lovely. We will be back next year to enjoy it all over again. Will recommend highly. Thank you!

We are quite new to camping, but this site was lovely. The showers and washing up facilities were really clean. The little shop had essential bits, plus you can hire firepits and buy wood at a very reasonable price. We had the pizzas one night which were amazing and we did get a breakfast as well which was tasty. I really recommend this site.

The check in was friendly and pleasant. We managed to find a relatively flat pitch but be warned, the family fields are on a fairly strong slope so arrive early to get the better pitches as they are not pre allocated. On the whole the site was fine, but we felt 5 toilets and 5 showers for all the women on site, and 2 sinks for washing up, when it was as busy as it was during our stay, wasn't always sufficient. They were being regularly cleaned but due to the volume of use, it must be very hard to maintain a high level of cleanliness. Again, smaller volume would mean this would be very clean normally. We had a disappointing pizza takeaway (2 of our group found mould in the pizza bases after eating quite a bit of it) but this was dealt with fairly by the owners, immediately refunded etc. I think if we had visited at a quieter time of year, the site would have been exceptional, but sadly due to the volume of pitches during our stay, the late night noise one night (no one from the office came up to speak to people beyond curfew making noise) and the other smaller issues during our stay we have rated it down. It wasn't the most expensive (I guess hence the volume) so if you're not fussy about quality of stay in the busier months, this is a good site.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. We are really devastated about the pizza bases. After a thorough investigation it was found to be a manufacturing problem. Therefore we have changed our dough supplier and the problem is now resolved. Once again please accept our apologies.
