Galley Hill Farm Camping is ideally located for exploring the Norfolk Coast, just a five minutes drive from the quay at Blakeney Point. It is next to a B road so there is some road noise. The campsite is a 20 minute walk from the coastal path along North Norfolk's gorgeous coastline, with the seals at Blakeney Point sure to be a hit with the kids. Spacious grass pitches and a cosy camping pod are perfect for hassle free breaks. Sorry, no dogs.

We booked for 30th & 31st August. Upon arrival Sal came straight over and introduced herself; she's lovely, very welcoming- anything you'd like to know about the area; direct the question to Sal. The site is spotless, the showers and toilets are close to immaculate. Sal makes sure you're aware where things are and of the site rules; very simple - bbq's are allowed and bricks are provided so they can be raised off the floor to prevent damage to the grass. Pitches are well spaced. We picked this site due to location to Blakeney which is a mile down the road; beautiful walks and rides which was perfect for us as we'd taken our bikes with us. We'd recommend the site to anyone; whether a family or couple; it is clean, peaceful and no lumpy pitches! Wells next the Sea has the best fish and chips going - French's is the place to go! We'd like to say 'well done' and "thank you" to Sal for maintaining such a good site and facilities. We'll be back next year! 😃 5*

This my first time camping and I’ve nothing but praise for this site. It’s quiet and relaxing and the owner is the most accommodating and nothing is too much trouble for her. The showers and toilets were spotless all day. Within a 15 minute drive to Sherringham. An all round fantastic site.

Small site with well spaced out pitches. Toilets/showers cleaned regularly throughout the day. Friendly owner. Short walk into Blakeney. Space to run around and play. The stars were amazing at night. We really enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed this site but we got rained off after torrential rain and a thunderstorm. Not the site's fault at all. There seemed to be some smell of sewerage somewhere at back of toilet block.

Thank you for your comments.

It was a lovely stay in a very clean and quiet campsite. It is very close to Blackney and some scenic walks around there, and 20 mins away from Holkham and Wells. No light pollution, so we had a beautiful starry night!
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Chiara. We do get some amazing sunsets and skies.

Nice small site, with basic but clean facilities. It was near to the village and coast, so good location. The only down side was that the only spots were near the road, and the cars going past kept us awake at night.
Site's response
There is some road noise which, unfortunately, I have no control over. I always hope that when people come to stay that they are considerate to other campsite guests by leaving the shower facilities reasonably clean.

Pod was simple but perfect. The whole campsite is beautifully kept and all facilities are lovely and clean. Brilliant location and very friendly hostess. Many people return to this campsite year on year, so that says it all.
Site's response
I'm glad our basic, simple campsite suits your needs, Hannah. It's always lovely to see people come back. Thank you.

Lovely views on this small site. Easy cycle to town which has river, marshes, sea, grocery shop, bakers, restaurants and bars. Free parking at the council site in town. Few facilities, but clean and comfortable. Very helpful owner.

I have been going to this campsite for a few years now and it's hands down the best place to camp on the North Norfolk coast! Location is a 2 minute drive from Blakeney and only 14 minutes to Holt for fish and chips! Sally is friendly and so kind too. I couldn't recommend it enough :)
Site's response
Thank you so much for your kind comments Katie. I'm glad our simple campsite suits you and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay. We were there for 2 nights slap bang in the middle of summer holidays and about 5-10 tents there the whole time. Great for a couple/small family. Really quiet, especially in the evening. Just what was needed.

Glad the campsite suited your needs Billy. Hope to see you again. Sal

We arrived to a warm welcome from Ali, found the pitch easy and set up. Very nice park, very quiet and is a just walkable trip Blakeney. When our neighbours arrived home, we felt very intimidated by the way he drove his car so close to our tent. It seemed that lots of adults and children fell out the car and there was a constant family noise 'till gone 10pm and in the night and early morning. Would love to see this gem became an Adults Only site as that would make it extra special, however other tents with families were very well behaved and no bother at all. I would like to come back out of school holidays as I think it would be a different experience. My dropped mark for facilities was for the lack of men's toilets and showers. But a BIG thank you to Ali for saying hello on arrival and coming to say goodbye on the day we left.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to give your views Rob. I'm sorry you didn't have the best experience during your stay; one always hopes people are considerate to each other whilst camping. As we live on site, we would rather be made aware at the time so that we can try and deal with any issues, but I will be more pro-active regarding noise at night in future. Anyone can use the family room as well, so generally there isn't too much of a wait for the toilet/shower, but I do accept your point at busy times during the school holidays. I do hope we see you again as it was a pleasure to meet you and have you stay.

This is a lovely campsite- simple but clean, friendly and generous pitches. The showers aren't the best water pressure wise, but they are very clean and there is a disabled/family bathroom. It's a small site with less than 20 pitches, which aren't marked out unless you book electric. It's simple camping in a field at its finest, the grass is kept short and the soil well drained, its always been quiet late at night with kids playing in the early evening, hot water to wash your pots and a clean fresh water tap. Bins emptied really regularly and I know I keep saying clean but Sal the lady that runs the site is always about in her marigolds. A very friendly host that is super accommodating. No dogs or fires which is fair enough, but there are bricks to use to raise up your bbq if necessary. She will keep your iceblocks frozen for you, which I always appreciate. Oh and lastly location. It's a mile inland from Blakeney and so its a nice wander down to the Quay or national trust parking if you drive down. I like the location because I can go one way to Wells next the Sea and the other to Sheringham, with lots of farm shops and idyllic pubs within a 10 minute drive.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments Rebecca. I'm glad you enjoy staying at the campsite and find lots of things to do in the local area. The weather has been amazing for camping so far this year.

Lovely little campsite, only about a dozen pitches set round the outside of a big field, so plenty of space for children to play. Spotlessly clean facilities. About 25 mins walk to Blakeney Quay for crabbing, swimming, kayaks, paddle boards etc and the rest of the north Norfolk coast is only a short drive away (Holkham, Wells, Holt etc). Can recommend the King's Head at Letheringsett for top-notch pub grub and a huge child and dog-friendly garden!

Thank you for your kind comments Jen; I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us again and look forward to seeing you next year.

Sal is so friendly and helpful. Most campers are regulars, which says a lot about Sal and the campsite. It was a prime location for Blakeney Quay. I was walking the coastal path and it was a great spot for me. There are also lovely inland trails which I'll explore another time. Sal was so kind and informative and the campsite was kept spotless. It was hard to leave today! I'll be back another year though:)

We had a lovely stay over the hottest 2 nights in the UK. The location had a great view of the setting sun and just a short bike ride into Blakeney. The facilities were very clean and proximate and Sal had provided useful washing up items.
Site's response
Glad you enjoyed your stay Home, despite the extreme heat.
