Ditchling Campsite is a spacious, secluded, family-friendly site in the South Downs, just 25 minutes from Brighton's vibrant beach. There are a range of non electric grass pitches for tents as well as equipped and non-equipped bell tents. Surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and attractions like the Ditchling Beacon, it's just a ten minute walk from Hassocks Station, with direct trains to London Victoria. Pubs are just a five minute walk away.

About the site
Situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the camp site offers a peaceful and secluded countryside escape a 25 minute drive from Brighton. With neighbouring rolling hills, vineyards, and scenic walking trails, it's the perfect site for families, couples, and nature lovers looking to unwind in the great outdoors. The campsite features 50 well-spaced pitches, welcoming tents, and equipped and non-equipped bell tents for those seeking a more luxurious stay. There's a setup to suit everyone. Bell tents measure 5m x 5m, except for one 6m tent, which is part of the group bell tent setup. Equipped bell tents come furnished with mattresses, pillows, duvets, and linen. For standard tent camping, only one tent is permitted per pitch, with a maximum tent size of 8m x 8m. Trailer tents are not permitted and camping areas are assigned upon arrival. Onsite, families can enjoy an adventure trail, a swing tree, and plenty of space for games and activities, making it a fantastic destination for a fun-filled getaway. Ditchling's countryside offers dog friendly picturesque walks and open spaces, perfect for outdoor exploration. A short stroll away, the historic village offers traditional pubs, cafes, and local shops- ideal for a meal or a refreshing pint. Guests are welcome to bring their own fire pits, with logs, kindling, and firelighters available onsite. BBQs are also permitted, but they must be raised off the ground to help protect the surrounding greenery. This site welcomes dogs but please ensure they are always kept on their lead.

Non electric grass pitches with car parking available by each unit. One tent is allowed per pitch with a maximum size of 8m x 8m. Please note that trailer tents are not permitted. Dogs are allowed!

Site rules and policies
*Check-in is available from 2pm onwards.
*Check out must be completed by 12pm.
*Dogs are welcome, but they must always be on a lead.
*Children should be supervised throughout their stay.
*Fire pits are permitted, but campers must bring their own and only use wood purchased from the site.
*Visitors are encouraged to be considerate of campers and maintain a low noise level however, this can be overruled if a wedding or a single group has reserved the entire site.
*No music after 10pm.
*No disposable BBQs.

Evenings can also be spent around fire pits.
The site is located within the South Downs National Park, offering guests various hiking and cycling trails, including routes that lead to Ditchling Beacon, one of Sussex's highest peaks.
For a day out, the city of Brighton is just a 25-minute drive away, where guests can explore Brighton Beach, its famous pier, and independent shops and cafés in The Lanes. The city is also packed with several museums, galleries, and entertainment.
