A fab little campsite with animals and a little food hut. Great pizzas at the weekend! Close to Whitstable, so super convenient for day trips to the seaside. Right next to Blean Woods so plenty of walks, runs and adventures on your tent step! Highly recommend.
Poor facilities for the money

Lovely fields, good size pitches, pizza looked fab (but he ran out of dough early so we didn't get to try) The animals were a nice touch but unfortunately, the facilities let the place down so wouldn't return. Only 3 unisex toilets with bird droppings on floor, for 2 camping fields and 1 sink to wash in. Work being done to extend but no warning of this. 2 outside sinks to wash plates etc but they were always dirty and flooded.
A delightful site to return to again

A delightful site, part-surrounded by beautiful woodland offering a choice of locations - in part shade or full sun, with lots of open space especially enjoyed by children. Such a tranquil 2 days made all the more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful owner and team who are rightly very proud of the informal and friendly atmosphere around the site. And, if you can drag yourself away for a while, the coast is a mere 15 minutes drive, and Canterbury also very close. Choose crepes and waffles for breakfast from the onsite snack waggon or, on Friday evenings, delicious pizzas. So, there may be a short queue for toilets and showers when the site is busy (though its clever layout probably means that it never seems to be too busy) and it helps to get to know at what times the showers stay hot. But that's camping, and certainly not enough to detract from my solo stay at Brook Farm.
Relaxing site!

Simple and relaxing! Beautiful site, farm animals on site- ducks, rabbits, sheep, cows and chickens. We stayed 3 nights. The facilities were suitable with showers and toilets, James and the team were renovating the shower/toilet block and I can't wait to go back and see how it has developed. The campsite leads to a forest and is nearby beaches, the blean nature reserve and a few town centres. There's a Tescos and Aldi nearby (10 min drive) so can buy items if needs be. The site is dog friendly and have their own camp dog Indie! Very friendly! Highly recommend!

There was a very good atmosphere here with campers of all ages and several nationalities, some on bikes, some in huge caravans, several in tents, campervans and motorhomes. The children were having a great time despite the pouring rain and were looking forward to pizza from the café/shed. Right next to Church Woods, it is a perfect location for setting off on walks too.
Highly recommend

Stayed one night at this beautiful campsite in a campervan. We were greeted by the lovely James and had his yummy pizzas for our tea. Facilities were excellent. Would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you James.

This is a delightful campsite in a good location to visit Whitstable and Canterbury and beyond. We had a very warm welcome from the host and it was very easy to get pitched. Freshly cooked to order Pizzas were available from the cafe. The site appears to be a fairly new venture and a new reception area is being built. Hopefully the showers and toilets will get a refurb at the same time. Although we really like the rustic style the shower block is the only thing that is letting this site down at the moment. It's an ideal stop over before you catch a ferry to France.
Great, peaceful place and recommended for a young family and family gatherings

The site is a great place for a quiet break for the family. James was always at your beck and call and very helpful. Pizzas were top notch. The area was really peaceful. The kids had a great time and the bonus of the animals were great. The showers were sometimes cold but I think it does matter when you take your showers, I think the earlier the better. Would definitely be back, maybe with other family members.

Nice quiet campsite with lots of space for each pitch and lots of space for games. Being able to visit the animals on site was fun. Coffee van that also sells pizza on Friday and Saturday nights is a great idea and the pizza was very tasty too. Toilet and shower block are currently undergoing a big refurbishment and look like they will be much better but the area is a bit of a building site right now, which was a bit surprising when we arrived. Washing up facilities ok, the drainage system isn't great in those sinks, which had become blocked on the Sunday. Felt like it was all a work in progress that will be better once it's finished.

Excellent weekend. Would have been 5 star all round, but there were a few issues with blocked plumbing. Loved the pizza, the animals, the well-kept grounds and the cafe.

The pitches were good and the little café was in a great location and also good, but the showers, toilets and washing up area were not good at all. On our last night we had to wade through 6 inches of water to get to the toilets. There was also building work going on in the toilet area. I hope he improves it as it could be a brilliant site.
Site's response
Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. Whilst we do currently have building work ongoing, this is being done to further improve the site, hence why we are currently one of the cheapest sites in Kent! However we still provide free hot showers with no timer, shower gel as well as toilet roll! Things are only improving here with the building work etc so excited to be adding to the site for upcoming guests.

We found the location good, quiet countryside beside a lovely RSPB wood for walks and close to Canterbury and Whitstable. We took an electric tent pitch and there was plenty of space and a nice flat pitch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice pizzas made to order on Friday and Saturday nights and a little coffee/snack bar in the mornings. Clean toilets and showers, but unfortunately the water pressure was erratic so the showers ran dry or went cold whenever someone flushed a loo. Interesting animal enclosures within the site.

We loved this campsite. It was the perfect place for our little girl to run around, look at the animals and make new friends. We loved the fire pit, being close to the sea and the woods. We’ll be back.

A fabulous few quiet nights away at Brook Farm! James was there to meet us when we arrived and explained about the site. As it was quiet, he said we could pitch where we wanted to. It is a small quiet site with well kept grass pitches, enclosed by woods on two sides with beautiful views across the local farmland. There are public footpaths in the woods behind the campsite - one path even leads to the pub in Blean! On Friday and Saturday evenings there were wood fired pizzas available, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, crepes, waffles and coffee were available all from a converted shepherds hut on-site run by James. Good supplies of wood and kindling was available at a fair price and James also had fire pits that you could hire if you needed to. There were animal pens in the middle of the site with a variety of animals including sheep, chickens, ducks and Guinea pigs and food can be purchased for children to feed the animals. On Monday when it was quiet, the sheep and goats were let out to roam the field and keep the hedge lines in check! James is in the early stages of building something special here, nothing was too much trouble for him and his customer service was second to none. Our only piece of constructive criticism would be the toilet block. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers onsite and when the site was busy on a Saturday there could on occasion be a wait for the showers and toilets and during this period the hygiene standards slipped a little. However a lot of this was due to a lack of consideration by the people using them! The provision of a couple of extra toilets and showers would be a welcome addition and do a lot to ease this pressure. Overall, a fab campsite which was close enough but far enough from Whitstable. The local taxi service will also collect and drop off there (make sure you book in advance if Friday or Saturday night!) We will definitely be back to see how James's project is progressing (at the time of writing he was in the process of constructing a site office) and would recommend this site for couples or families. Many thanks James!

Had a super week, lots of space! Lovely woodland walks from site - great if you have a dog, very dog friendly. Very close to Whitstable, Canterbury and Folkestone for exploring. James was a great host. Pizza Friday was a treat.

We really enjoyed our stay- good location, lovely village nearby! Toilets and shower blocks are clean, with great hot water! Washing up station could do with some overhead roofing! As if it had been raining, it would not be ideal! But for our first time in our VW camper it was great, would go back !

Lovely little campsite. Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Nice and relaxing. Pizza cooked on site was delicious. Toilets were kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap. Only downside was no paper towels to dry hands and only one sink in the bathroom which was in high demand at teeth brushing time! Other than that it was a lovely place to stay!
