We absolutely loved our weekend stay here away from the city. It was so peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. The pizzas on Saturday were so good, and it's great you can rent fire pits. The staff were all so friendly, which made it even more. Lots to explore close by, we went to Whitstable for the day, only a 15 min drive. We would definitely visit again.
Lovely, friendly site - beautiful location

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and enjoyed our Friday night pizzas which were cooked onsite. The loos and showers were clean and the pitches generous. The little cafe was a great bonus. All in all, a delightful little site within easy reach of Whitstable.

The shepherds hut is super, a wonderful location, great size and with friendly happy and helpful owners. Robyn makes the most wonderful pizzas on a Friday and Saturday evening so if you don't fancy cooking, you won't be disappointed. There were a few downsides for me unfortunately, the bed is a metre off the ground, there is a small step but if you are not 100% mobile it's a real struggle to get up there. On the plus side, you have a fantastic view once you are! The steps to get to the cabin need replacing. They are made from MDF and very saggy, they have been reinforced with planks of wood, but these don't reach the whole of the tread of the steps and make the steps a real trip hazard both going up and down. The cabin was a bit grubby, grass and mud under the fitted sheet on the bed, dirty carpet tiles on the floor under the sink in the bathroom and the windows were dirty both inside and out. Robyn works so hard on the site, running it, the on site cafe and the wood fired pizza oven in the evenings too that it's not surprising these things have not been addressed. A few tweaks and it would be perfect.

Lovely stay at Brook Farm. The campsite was quiet, relaxing and really close to Whitstable. You could buy wood fired pizza and logs for a fire. It also had some cute farm animals. Had a great time and would definitely stay again!

Nice stay with animals for the kids to feed and pizza at weekends. Lovely setting but wish I'd pitched at the top of the field as the views from there are lovely.

Lovely basic with a few extras, site. Easy to get to, set in the countryside - night time view of the stars, amazing. James & co really friendly with a beautiful dog that just wants you to throw the ball. They obviously know the area as gave clear instructions on what footpaths/shortcuts to use to walk to Whitstable and how to link up with the Crab and Winkle Way. Loved that you could rent a fire pit and purchase kindling and logs. Pizzas cooked on site (pre-order) and Arby's café just outside all added to the experience. There were times there wasn't any soap in the toilets, but this didn't impact hugely.

We came as a group of 6 adults, 5 small children and a teen. We camped across 3 large pitches. Lots and lots of space in the centre of the pitches for the kids to play and ride bikes. Kids love seeing the animals and James did a feeding talk that we all enjoyed on Saturday morning. There was also a run club on Sundays, so running kit will be packed for next time. On arrival, we met James, so helpful and welcoming. Robin was in the cafe and she sold a wonderful array of goodies, worth a visit. Only scored a 4 as there was no warm water to wash up in and lots of water under the sinks as you're washing up. We will definitely be back!

This campsite is a hidden gem, offering spacious pitches with stunning views and excellent facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the site is well-maintained and peaceful, perfect for families or a relaxing getaway. Great walking trails and activities nearby make it ideal for nature lovers. Highly recommended!

The site owners were so friendly and helpful. Pitch size was generous and even on the Saturday when it was busy, it didn't feel cramped. Pizzas were delicious and the café was lovely. Entry to the woods is right next to the site. Facilities were working and clean. Some benches around the site and some of the campsite gets shade. I noticed one review wrote negatively about the family friendly environment but for us (two young adults) this meant that the campers weren't engaging in really antisocial behaviour (no partying all night) which suited us just fine.
Fantastic family break!

Brook farm glamping is one amazing place. The hosts Robyn and James were so sweet and friendly. It was a good price and it is such a nice community. They have cows, sheep, goats and chickens. They also do 2k and 5k runs along with a woodland walk & Pizza. Overall this was an amazing and memorable experience and we will definitely be returning.

We stayed 3 nights August bank holiday. It was busy but we found a spacious pitch. Toilets were clean and well stocked, showers warm and clean. Drains a little smelly. It was lovely to wake up to 🐓 and 🐑and we heard 🦉 at night. No noise from other campers after 10ish, which was lovely. The onsite Pizza was absolutely yummy. We had a lovely time 😊
Great location but facilities need maintenance and renovation

Brook Farm is very well located near Canterbury and surrounded by nature and forest. This place could be great. Unfortunately, it is not maintained, especially the facilities that I feel are in poor condition and not maintained. The place to do the dishes is very dirty, we think it is never washed, and most of the sinks don't work. It is also the place where we should wash ourselves but there should be different places for that! The roof on this shed is falling. The toilets were relatively clean, but the floor and bin were dirty. There is a little sink in each toilets but some don't work and there was no soap left in the dispensers and nothing to wipe hands. The showers are relatively clean and there is only a little hook for the clothes, but it is not enough or practical. We would advise to add more hooks and also a bench. With more maintenance on the facilities and the place in general, Brook Farm could be a very nice place to stay. Unfortunately, in these conditions, we won't come back.
Site's response
Hi there, thank you very much for staying with us. I'm struggling to comprehend this as our toilets and showers and washing up areas are cleaned 2/3 times daily! Perhaps you came over bank holiday which was our busiest period, but even then, we ensured everything was kept clean. 3/5 of our washing up taps are functional currently whilst we wait for a new water heater for the additional 2. One tap in the toilets was broken by a camper whilst you stayed on site, otherwise, all the taps in the toilets work and all our soap dispensers work, as do our toilet roll dispensers too! We are on a farm, so if you have to shake your hands after washing them I do apologise! Benches are currently being produced to be placed in the large shower cubicles but ultimately, the hook is usually sufficient. I would suggest you don't return, as our family friendly site will always be rustic, but we strive to improve, constantly adding additional features to enhance everyone's experience with us. Best regards.

We came here for 2 nights to see how my daughter and dog liked camping! It is a lovely campsite, toilet and showers do the job and the animals are a lovely touch. The campsite had a nice friendly atmosphere and was nice and quiet throughout the night! Loved hearing the animals in the morning, especially the cockerel letting me know that the day had arrived! We hired the firepit, which was a fab touch. We would definitely return!

A lovely welcoming campsite within easy reach of Whitstable, Canterbury and Hearne Bay to mention just a few places. It is worth noting on the farm side of things that there is a cockerel that doesn't understand campers are on holiday with its early morning wake up call 😂🤣 A noticeboard with local advertised events, along with a map of local footpaths (especially the crab and winkle way) and bus stops too.

A nice farm with animals in the field with you. They were annoyed with us at check in that we were "2 hours late", however pre-trip paperwork had only outlined the earliest possible arrival and not a cut off. Their reasoning being that we would disturb the families putting their kids to bed. However, I'm sure they would have been more disturbed by the group two tents down playing club music until 11pm! The toilets didn't always have working water and soap, and I would have preferred them to be single gender. However, now that we know these things, we would stay again and factor this into our planning.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, unfortunately arriving after 9pm on a busy weekend isn't advisable. From setting your tent up in the dark, to trying to find an appropriate pitch, it just doesn't work. Low volume music is allowed up until 11pm along with fires too. Thank you for staying with us.

Brilliant stay at Brook Farm, James and Robin are very good hosts, café onsite very useful and the availability of pizzas were a welcome tasty surprise when we arrived. Only thing that lets the site down is toilet and shower facilities which are basic and I understand are in the process of being upgraded.

I had a lovely pitch backed onto the animals (sheep goats and chickens) with a view over fields. Nice hot shower in the morning was a nice surprise. Lots of families camping so if you're an adult looking for peace and quiet, then probably not for you, but all the kids were having the time of their lives feeding the animals. Pizza available the night I arrived and a guided 5k run. I really enjoyed it. The young guys that run it are very welcoming and have created a friendly, relaxed and fun environment.

The campsite was in a lovely location with great views, really close to Blean Woods which is a lovely walk. It was really clean and nicely spaced out, lots of room. However, the shower/ toilet facility was poor as there was a distinctive smell of grey water where the tank was overflowing, leaving pools of grey water around the facilities. The toilets were all backed up and were not cleaned or restocked with toilet roll. This resulted in only 2 being accessible. The showers were not cleaned as they were full of cobwebs and dirt, and didn't drain properly due to the tank being full.
Site's response
Hi Megan, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately following a busy and extremely hot weekend there were a few unpleasant smells emanating from the tank. However I can assure you our grey water and waste tanks are emptied multiple times a week to ensure this isn't the case and there isn't any overflowing occurring! The toilets and showers are cleaned and serviced usually twice a day and also restocked with toilet roll and soap so I apologise on this occasion they were not at their usual standard. Nonetheless we hope you had a fantastic stay in the wonderful sunshine out in the countryside!
