Really really nice hosts. Stopped to go to the tank museum so the location was perfect, but wish we were there longer to visit the nearby beaches. Can't recommend the site enough.

We arrived later in the day so reception was shut but due to the lack of reception at our previous site, the rebooking form didn't return. So on arrival, we had no code to get in or anyone to contact! Luckily a member of staff was walking her dog and having checked my previous booking confirmation, gave us the code and a run down of where to pitch. Very pleasant lady. Lovely, quiet spacious pitches with great facilities. It is in a very quiet, rural area but the roads leading to it are easy to navigate. Sadly there was poor reception/Wi-Fi which again made our arrival a little more stressful. Definitely a place I would use again if in the area, although I would definitely make sure the pre booking email was sent and a response received. My bad🤗 Thank you for a great stay.

First time staying at Sandyholme. Looked lovely on arrival. Like the idea of a choose your own pitch. Very spacious with some flat pitches. Bit disappointed with the toilet block for campers. 3 ladies showers that the main door is always open too and the toilets are unisex. As a lone camper, didn't feel comfortable using them in the night. Main toilet and shower block for the holiday homes were lovely. Plenty of hot water, clean and private. Small shop was only open for an hour in the morning and only stocked basic food and alcohol. Excellent dog exercise area and beautiful walks around the park.

Did a spur of the moment camping trip with my 7 year old. Really lovely spot, quiet, and well taken care of. Ideal for a base to do day trips out from, and plenty of space for children to run around and play. Only marked 4 stars on service because the reception is only open 2 hours a day, so you have to time it just right. Would have been good to have someone help with local knowledge at times for an out-of-towner. There is an app and a few flyers for things. Also, facilities were really well kept and clean, but some form of games room with table football, pool and/or table tennis would make it perfect for kids and older children. Or, at least a room to play some board games and cards in. Otherwise, great place, and will be back.

Lovely campsite. Based on the facilities we first used in Meadow Camp, we wouldn't have come back, but after discovering the other showers, we definitely would. We found the staff to be very pleasant, always a 'hello' and 'how are you today?' which was lovely. I would definitely recommend this park, but explore the campsite to familiarise yourself with all it has to offer. Your holiday is what you make it! Pitch and go out explore, and we have made special, amazing memories.

Great park, friendly staff, clean facilities and all felt safe for kids. Gravel pitches all in the middle of the statics, so if you want a bit more space and privacy, choose grass pitches.

A lovely quiet four night stay in beautiful area. The electric grass pitches in the field seemed to have more space than those on the hardstanding area. There are toilet and shower blocks in the field and hardstanding areas, both very clean. Site is maintained to a good standard, the grass was mowed each day. Less than half a mile past the camp, is a small garden centre, with a good selection of chilli plants and flowers. Next to this is a cider museum, selling a good selection of ciders and also a guide to making ciders. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are only 6 miles away. Smugglers Inn is 3 miles away with lovely views over Weymouth and Portland. There is a big shopping centre on the outskirts of Weymouth for all your shopping needs. There is a shop on site, but only open for a couple of hours, selling the basics. We felt that the stay was good value for money.

We chose the non-electric pitch, which is in a grassy field. This was fine, but it wasn't entirely clear exactly where to pitch, so we just selected a spot and all was fine. The site is clean and quiet, and the facilities seem to be decent, although there is no lighting in the field, so a head-torch was required for the short walk to the toilet block at night. The only strange thing was that it was a completely 'contactless' stay - didn't see a staff member in the two days we were there. This wasn't a problem, but I don't know how things might have worked if we'd needed to ask a question (there is a reception hut but it was closed). Overall though, we were quite satisfied with our stay and if we return to the area, it would certainly be on our list.

Location was great and easy to find. Value for money is there considering the facilities are well maintained and very clean. The staff we came across were all lovely and chatty and as we went slightly off-season, the site itself was quiet and peaceful.

It's a really nice site with good check-in and check out times. Staff were really friendly and the site was well kept. Lots of space to pitch and plenty of drinking water taps. Lots to do around the area and the wildlife pond is a nice extra. Only slight downside would be the temporary toilets and showers are not the cleanest when it's busy. Other than that, it is a great site and I would recommend. Thanks.

Beautiful campsite, very nice and the toilets/showers were clean. Myself and my friend came to stay for 2 nights and we had a lovely time. The campsite was easy to find, very clean and overall was a brilliant stay! Location was good, very close to Lulworth Cove and Durdledoor. Would recommend this campsite!

The campsite overall was very good and would recommend! The staff were friendly and the field was well maintained and flat (the meadow). The other field looked hilly and less well kept however. The only minor issue was the showers were inconsistent in temperature when multiple people were using in the main building. The facilities/showers were free to use which was a bonus compared to some other campsites in the area though!

Where to begin, it was perfect…. We have stayed at many campsites in our van and this has been our favourite to date!!! So easy to enter, no hassle. Field was freshly cut, and very very clean! Showers and toilets clean as your own. Very peaceful, lovely lake to walk around. Huge football field with permanent goals that me and my boy used a lot. Everything was just hassle free and a joy to stay there!!

Although we decided to stay during a storm, the site was lovely. We chose the location specifically as it was advertised as a quiet spot. The first two nights were great, but unfortunately, we had two groups either side arrive on the last night and were very rowdy. I completely understand and support gatherings of family and friends, but my children and I were kept awake until 1am. The conversations were full of very bad language, which was so sad to listen to. I completely understand it wasn't the sites fault for their choice of topic or language, it was just disappointing they chose to ignore the 11pm quiet time and there was no one there to enforce it. Great spot though, you just can't choose your neighbours unfortunately. Park, pitch and pond were well kept and a nice touch.
Site's response
We are very sorry that other campers spoilt your stay. We include an out-of-hours number in our pre-arrival email and it's on the door of the facilities block. Our wardens live on park so can deal with these kind of situations.
