Situated just five minutes from Mevagissey and Carhays Beach, Higher Kestle Farm Campsite is an idyllic spot for exploring all that south Cornwall has to offer. Tents and tourers are welcome across a range of grass and hardstanding pitches with the option of an electric hook up. Close to The Lost Gardens Heligan, the South West Coast Path and wonderful sandy beaches, you'll never be short of things to do!

30 pitches in total, all of a good size. Most pitches have ECU. Small modern facilities block, cleaned and restocked regularly. Well maintained pitches although as we were at the end of August the grass was a little sparse where the tents are pitched. Will visit again.
Lovely, small, peaceful and well kept campsite

Lovely, small, peaceful and very well kept campsite in a beautiful location. 30 mins walk to Heligan and also to Mevagissey. Family friendly but as a solo adult I didn't feel out of place at all. Plenty of lovely walks nearby and dog friendly. I will definitely be returning again.

If you want a nice quiet site with no clubhouse, this is the site for you. Pitches were a nice size with plenty of water points and electricity hookups. We were in a tent but also on-site were caravans and campers. Only 30 pitches, lots of people turned up for one night without booking and paid into an honesty box, however I think at the height of the season booking would be advised. The toilets and showers were immaculately clean. Will be using this as our local getaway.

From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we were welcomed by Richard and the team. The atmosphere was so relaxed everyone was friendly staff/fellow campers. Everything you needed was no more than a short drive away. 2 weeks and fully recharged. We will be back.
Lovely site with extremely helpful owners

Peaceful, small, fairly flat site with immaculate facilities. The owner was most helpful and made a special trip out to help us with an electric hook up issue, and then was back again really quickly with the part we needed. He literally saved our weekend. We had perfect weather, and all other campers on site were friendly and considerate. It has a lovely dog walk on site with beautiful views over farmland. We walked to Heligan and unfortunately picked a very hot day - the walk was quite steep in both directions and on that day took us longer than the suggested time. The gardens are well worth seeing though and the campsite's associated farm shop by the entrance to the gardens is definitely worth a visit! I can't think of any negatives for this site at all, except a little occasional road noise. We would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back!

Thank you for a fantastic stay. Very relaxing site, even on a Bank Holiday weekend (!), which is located perfectly to explore the surrounding area. The woodland walk was an added bonus for the dogs as the weather was so warm. We will definitely be back.

Excellent campsite. Superbly clean. Only criticism would be my pitch appeared to be the only one without water supply, (supply pipe installed but no tap) even though other pitches with supply were available.

We have been staying at Higher Kestle Farm Campsite for the last few years for our late summer break with our 2 bulldogs. The site is easily accessible and in a great area for exploring the south coast or Cornwall in general or, just sitting back and relaxing in the peaceful countryside on site with a book. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless and the site itself is always clean and tidy. All in all, a great site which we will visit again.
A Cornish gem!

This is a fantastic small campsite beside a working farm with a great location. Easy access to a number of beaches and walking distance from Mevagissey and the famous Lost Gardens Of Heligan. Heligan also houses the family owned Lobb's farm shop, selling produce from the neighbouring farms. I can highly recommend the locally produced rump steak, a firm BBQ staple during our stay. Quiet and secluded, with clean facilities, on site dog walking facilities and a fantastic host in Richard, for which nothing is too much trouble.

We have stayed here with our wider family for many years and we love it. Small and friendly with very clean facilities and close to our favourite place, Gorran Haven. Doesn't have a site shop but that doesn't worry us as we just pick up things locally. Dog and family friendly!

Have been coming to Higher Kestle Farm for many years, as an ever-growing family group and also just the two of us. It meets our needs perfectly. Richard is very friendly and so conscientious about how well the site is run, equipped and kept. It's our Cornwall home each year. We will be back again this year.

My wife and I have been staying with Richard for the past two years, we found this little gem in 2021, had 2 weeks holiday, went home cleaned our camping gear, sat down, and said let's go back, so we did for a further 2 weeks. The same thing happened in 2022, had 2 weeks booked, went home cleaned up, looked at each other laughed and starting packing the car again, phoned Richard while we were on the road and booked again. Washrooms are lovely and clean, laundry is great, all pitches have plenty of space, and you are lulled to sleep by the animals around the fields, the night sky on a clear night is amazing. On the whole, a really good place to stay, handy for exploring Cornwall in all its glory.
Fabulous as always

Our second visit of the season and once again the peace and tranquillity of our stay at Higher Kestle has left us feeling refreshed and looking forward to coming back (which we did). This friendly site is a firm favourite for us as a couple wanting to get away from it all and when we travel as a family group with the kids, they just love it too. Pitches are generous, facilities are extremely well kept and the owner and team couldn't be nicer. There are some beautiful beaches just a few minutes away by car, Heligan is on the doorstep and Meva just down the hill (bit steep on the way back up!) We've loved all our holidays to this fab site, and having been staying here for the last 10 years in its current location and before that when the site was just down the road. When camping as a family, the generous neatly clipped grass pitches and well thought out layout makes keeping an eye on the little ones easy and making it feel super safe. There aren't any play areas which means the kids make their own fun and make friends with others easily. Loads of campsites state that they have WiFi but rarely is it as good as it is here which means we have been able to work from home (ssshhhh, don't tell anyone!) on many an occasion. This place for me brings back childhood memories of summer holidays, good times and no tripping over someone else's guy ropes; which seems to be the norm in so many places these days. I can't say enough good things about it - just don't tell too many people as it's a really well kept secret!!
Great stay!

We have stayed with Richard for many years and keep coming back as we love the site and the area so much. The site is immaculate and the facilities are just what is needed for a comfortable stay. The pitches are roomy and even at busier times, there is space. Our dogs love the walks from the site and there are plenty of spots locally to drive to and walk them too. Shops within easy drive. The site is ideally situated for days out, and trips to the beach (there are plenty of great ones close by). It is equally good for just relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery (sunsets are particularly good). We now travel as a couple but have visited with children who love the place equally. Richard makes the time to stop and talk to his visitors but this is never intrusive, he is on hand if he is needed. Would I recommend? Yes totally...
