About Monkey Tree Holiday Park
Located between Perranporth and Newquay, this fun-filled holiday park makes for the perfect base in easy reach of the North Cornwall coast. With amazing onsite facilities and entertainment, the site has everything you need for a great getaway. Tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome on all of the site's pitches. There are 318 electric grass pitches, each measuring approximately 8m x 10m. The electric grass pitches each come with a 16 amp supply and welcomes up to eight guests. There is also the option of pitches that are one-third hardstanding and two-thirds grass, perfect for parking your car. Pick between the 25 premium pitches with 16 amp electric, measuring approximately 10m x 12m, or the 21 super pitches which measure 12m x 15m with 16 amp electric, a water point and grey waste disposal. If you want camping with a little bit of luxury, you can opt for pitches with your own ensuite. The 13 super deluxe pitches measure approximately 15m x 12m and come 16 amp electric, water, drainage supply and gravel parking space, whilst being enclosed on three sides for extra privacy. Along with this, you will have your own designated bathroom/shower room within a nearby facility block, perfect for those who like their own space. There are then 12 ultra deluxe pitches which have their own private ensuite shower room, undercover alfresco dining area, BBQ, washing up area and gravel parking space all directly on your pitch. Each pitch measures approximately 15m x 12m and comes with a 16 amp electric, water and drainage. If you're looking for a home from home, you'll also find an excellent range of holiday homes to suit all tastes and budgets at the park. BBQs raised off the ground are permitted, but open fires and fire pits are not. Up to two dogs are welcome per pitch. Please note, that the following breeds will not be allowed anywhere in the park, American Pitbulls, Dogo Argentinos, Fila Brasileiros, Japanese Tosas and XL Bullies. All Bull terrier and Mastiff breeds must be muzzled whilst on the park Please also note that photographic ID with proof of address such as a driver's license must be provided by the lead guest on arrival. Facility opening times may vary outside of peak season.
Monkey Tree Holiday Park is open from 29/03 to 16/05 and 20/05 to 27/10 in 2024 and from 28/03 to 01/05 and 06/05 to 02/11 in 2025.
This large-scale site has a great range of facilities including the Palm Bay which has a large solar heated outdoor swimming pool with a beach bar with a terrace, family changing rooms, a pirate ship and a jacuzzi.
There is also a pirate adventure golf, outdoor play park, an arcade, an indoor soft play house and a fun kids' club
For food and drink there is The Club which also hosts entertainment in the Summer months. Funky's Fish Bar serves up takeaway food including burgers, you can also enjoy your food and drink at the Summer Nights Bar where in the peak months there is early evening entertainment.
For something quick, the Food To Go Outlet serves pasties, pizzas and more. There is also a fully licensed onsite supermarket selling all of the essentials.
Free WiFi is available in the bar, or you can purchase Wi-Fi from main reception for access in other places, plus there is a cash point on site. A year round security team is on hand to help you day or night if required.
A local bus service operates hourly and runs services to Newquay, Perranporth and Truro, with the bus stop only a half mile from site.

We had an extremely enjoyable holiday at your lovely campsite! The only comments I'd make are that some food items weren't available in the beach bar one evening and the menu was already quite limited. Also, T-shirts hadn't been ordered for the art activities, which my children were disappointed about. My wife also encountered a problem with the candyfloss machine in the arcade. The female member of staff wasn't particularly helpful when it wasn't working, but do understand that the machine isn't your property. We'd definitely come back though as everything else was perfect!

This campsite was lovely, the staff at reception were nice, especially Sophie. The staff at the pool area weren't, especially the manager. I tried to book straightaway online as there are unlimited slots for the pool. The online service wouldn't let me book a slot, so I emailed them as the reception wasn't open, no answer. So I went down and spoke to the manager of the pool as soon as it was open. The manager said that there is nothing for 4 days. Which was very disappointing, as we were only there for 3 days. I went to reception and they managed to get us in, 2 days later. You're not allowed big inflatables, we had a medium size one, walked in with it and the man on reception of the pool said it was fine. We had at least 4 different lifeguards come up to us and tell us we weren't allowed it. I explained that the man on reception of the pool said it was fine. In the end, the Head lifeguard told me I didn't walk past him in the pool reception, I told him, he was talking to someone at the time and didn't see me walk in. So in the end, I just took the inflatable out of the pool because of the hassle it was causing and it wasn't worth it, as we were trying to enjoy. The pool itself was nice and lukewarm. The food in the establishment was poor. A burger was just bread and the meat, and half of the stuff that you paid for with the meal didn't come with it as they ran out. I did have a refund but it would take a few days to get back into my account. The chips were always undercooked. We had breakfast on the Monday and we had to wait an hour. They told us after we paid that it would be half an hour wait, which I didn't want to wait. However, if I had asked for a refund, I would have had to wait 3 days for it to return to my account, and I wouldn't have been able to go somewhere else as that was the last of my money, so we didn't have a choice. It didn't seem that busy at all so unsure why it took so long. The entertainment area didn't have enough tables and chairs for people to sit down and watch the show. No cash machines, only at reception, which closes at 7pm. Need cash for the arcade. The pitch area was very good, not far from the shower blocks, which was always very clean and staff there were friendly. It was 10 minutes from town which was lovely and lots of food options there too.

We were very impressed with the spacious pitch sizes, plenty of room and the site was regularly maintained. The cleaning ladies were amazing in the shower block and it was a continuous task.

Things to do on site and in the Newquay area

Palm Bay features a leisure pool, two beach entry zones, a beach bar, family changing rooms and facilities. The pool also features a boardable pirate ship, multiple water features and a jacuzzi area where guests of all ages can laugh it up all day long. The outdoor swimming pool is heated to 26 degrees minimum, pool rules do apply.
Remote control cars and boats are an absolute favourite with children and adults alike providing hours of entertainment!
Perranporth is also just ten minutes away, the perfect destination for a surf lesson, or simply relaxing on the sandy beach. Newquay is also just ten minutes away, famous for being a surfer's paradise. Spend days at the seaside or enjoy the local attractions like the arcade.
