Pleasant winter surprise

Our first visit and very enjoyable at this quiet time of year. Easy footpath walk into Robin Hoods Bay, cycle track to Whitby and very good evening meal at local pub.

Our first time in our motorhome on a proper site

Really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. The location was excellent and all facilities were clean and easy to use. If all sites are as good as this one was, we can't wait to go again.

Pod stay

Had short stay of 2 nights. Pod clean, good bathroom facilities, 20 minutes walk to Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby a 15 minute drive away. Well recommend.

First time in a pod

We were not sure what to expect as not stayed in a pod before but we had the best time. We walked to the beach the next day with our dog. We had stayed to get the dog away from fireworks and the location was good for this as we could only hear them in the distance. The pods were so clean and so warm.

Staycation

Everything from arriving to leaving was a very nice experience. The site was clean and tidy, showers were nice and warm and the office staff were very helpful. Nice quiet place to stay. There was only one thing that was disappointing and that was the footpath down to the bay. It had rained and the stiles that you went through were big puddles, and the cattle had dunged on the paths so you had to tiptoe around the piles. Maybe if the path was fenced off and some more stones placed under stiles to aid drainage this would give better appeal

Thank you for your 5 star review. The footpath through the fields is a stoned footpath all the way to Robin Hoods Bay. Very few paths have the luxury of been hard-cored in the countryside. This is on agricultural land that is farmed, and at times there are cattle grazing on the fields. There is an alternative path along the disused railway and onto the road into Robin Hoods Bay.

Great campsite

Great campsite with very clean showers and toilets. 10 minute walk to the beach and robins hood bay. Fantastic location, easy to find. Just missing a campsite shop. Pod lovely and warm, very clean and spacious with outdoor seating. Fab getaway for family, children and dog.

Canny little site

Not as bad as some other reviews made out. Did exactly as it said on the box. Only issue I had was power kept tripping, but we understood that was our own fault having heaters and lights on, so not a bad mark at all for him. Internet coverage is poor so purchase Wi-Fi pack there. We will be back next year we reckon

Great Location

What a great location - 10 minute walk to Robin Hoods bay and a 5 minute walk to the local pub that served great food. The staff were very helpful and full of local knowledge and gave us some fantastic advise on where to walk etc. The site was very clean and quiet. I would recommend this site for anyone who likes walking or just relaxing. I will certainly be going again.
