About the site
This peaceful, family-run site is only a five minute drive from the popular Freshwater West beach which is great for surfing and where Dobby the House Elf from Harry Potter was famously buried. You can visit Dobby's memorial and see the socks and decorated stones left by Potterheads. Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Tenby and Pembroke Castle are within a 30 minute drive too! There are a total of 35 non electric grass pitches welcoming tents, trailer tents, roof tents, motorhomes, campervans and caravans. Each pitch welcomes up to nine guests, with no set boundaries so everyone can spread out and you can park your car next to your pitch. Guests will be treated to great sea views over the beautiful countryside of the National Trust's Gupton Estate which is right next door. Campfires and BBQs are welcome too (as long as guests are careful). It is also the perfect location for stargazing because it is set in a dark-sky discovery area so on a clear night you can enjoy a view of the constellations, the Milky Way and at certain times of the year meteor showers too. If you enjoy walking the Wales Coast Path is easily accessed from many locations nearby or you can hop on the Coastal Cruiser bus which stops at the site entrance. A little further afield you will find the historic St Davids (the UK's smallest city) with its beautiful cathedral an hour away. The ferry port to Rosslare in Ireland is about a 20 minute drive away if you feel like going on a trip. Canine companions can join you for your stay too, with up to two pups permitted per pitch.
Newton Farm Campsite is open from 28/03 to 29/11.
